As a young adult, my passion for the perfect pieces of jewellery for me saw me travelling to craft fairs and designer shows in the search for something just right. I rarely found what I wanted. In 1999, whilst I was a teacher of biology, I attended a local jewellery making evening class with the intention of making the collections that I really wanted to wear. That was the start of everything you will see on this site. My love affair with jewellery blossomed and I was inspired by that first evening to enroll on short specialist courses and I started to read books...lots and lots of books! I started to make and sell my jewellery on a part time basis, whilst still teaching. In 2002, I made two moves: I moved with my husband, two young children and labrador dog to the Cambridgeshire countryside whilst at the same time moving out of teaching and into making and selling my jewellery full time. From those beginnings, I'm proud to say that that I continue to personally design all the collections in the KFD Jewellery range, and they are all hand crafted in my Cambridgeshire workshop. For the past 20 plus years I've pursued my dream and passion of creating beautiful and elegant handcrafted jewellery that ladies love. My wish is that every piece of jewellery I've created helps you feel unique, sophisticated and stylish whenever you wear it. My more recent collection are infused with meaning as well as looking beautiful. Jewellery that resonates with you is more likely to be jewellery that feels authentically you.

Here at Moor Park we have one firm belief: that education transforms lives. Our school mission is to ensure that all our young people are able to access higher education and participate fully in our democratic society. Our sixth form is where this mission is actualised. This year, we are proud to be able to report that our year 12 cohort is the biggest the sixth form has ever had, and we are almost at capacity for student numbers. This means sixth form is a vibrant community and our year 12 cohort have made an excellent start to the year, stepping up to the rigour of A Level study with ease. As you may know, our sixth form is unique in the central Preston area as we offer the option for both A Level and BTEC courses in a small, safe environment with a maximum class size of 10 students. This means that our expert staff are able to get to know students well, provide them with 1-1 support and ensure they are both challenged and supported academically, so all students make excellent progress. Our smaller size also allows us to ensure that students maintain social distancing, whilst providing a full face-to-face teaching timetable. This means that students have access to specialist teachers full time and online learning is only used for homework or independent learning. This is an exciting time for our sixth form, and I am proud to be a part of the journey we are on. The CMRU was part of the Department of Civil Engineering which was consistently placed top in Scotland and in the top half dozen in the UK in successive national Research Assessment Exercises. Her path included earning an art degree from High Point College (now university), many years spent as an art director for print media, and many more teaching preschool locally. She founded Outside the Lines Art Studio in 2011 to share her belief in the transformative power of visual art with her community. Red Brick Glass

In 2000 after graduating with a 1st class degree in glass from Edinburgh College of Art Wendy moved into her first glass studio, a small red brick outbuilding in her home in Dorset. Wendy then received the prestigious Crafts Council Start Up Award to purchase equipment to start Red Brick Glass (the glass kiln is still going strong 20 years on!) Wendy worked as an architectural glass artist, collaborating with interior designers and architects to create large-scale glass installations and made small glass work to sell in galleries and shops. After a few years Wendy launched her website (with a new-fangled online shop) and started to run fused glass making workshops. 4 years ago Wendy moved into her new home and studio, a gorgeous barn conversion in the beautiful village of West Lulworth, Dorset. This was a dream come true as Wendy always wanted to live within walking distance from the sea. She still doesn’t take it for granted and walks to get her dose of sea air most days. Red Brick Glass continues to grow and develop. Wendy designed the make at home kits during lockdown 2020 as she couldn’t run workshops and due to their success she now needs a little help in the studio to keep up with orders. Vicki is the brilliant new studio assistant and Wendy’s teenage daughters help out at weekends and holidays (filling up colourful glass pots is the favourite job). We are very grateful to Red Brick Glass customers who have supported us over the years. We are excited for the future and hope you will follow us on our journey.

Littleover Taekwon-Do is a family orientated Taekwon-Do club which took up it’s independent status in 2007. We teach ITF Chang Hon style Taekwon-Do and we are part of Authentic Taekwon-Do England. Authentic England is registered with International Chang-Hon Taekwon-Do Federation (ICTF). We are also registered with the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association. We follow a set grading structure that allows steady progression through the art up to black belt level and beyond. The Instructors See our instructors page The syllabus See our syllabus page. Costs We are not a business and try as much as possible to keep training costs to a minimum. Family groups are encouraged to attend. Our current fees can be seen here. We collect payment monthly, in advance, via bank transfer. We ask students to commit to the full month. This helps us manage the class size cost effectively, and regular attendance is essential to making progress. Some fees (e.g. grading fees) are collected via Spond. Sparring equipment is essential for protection when you start sparring. Students are permitted to spar after successfully passing their first grading. See our equipment list for more information. We strongly recommend purchasing gear from Academy Sports in Derby. When you visit Academy Sports please let them know you are attending Littleover Taekwon-Do so they know to provide the appropriate gear. We don’t receive any commission. If sparring kit is purchased from elsewhere we can’t guarantee it will be acceptable for use within LTKD. Please check with us first. Doboks (the white suits we train in) are ordered via your instructor.

I am here as an eternal student. Yogic practices found a way into my life after graduating from Fashion Design and in want of a whole new direction. The path I’d been on until graduation felt unaligned and this new vision took me to India where I travelled and studied for 8 months. One conversation with a complete stranger early on in my travels stuck with me. I was waiting outside about to go into my first yoga class since arriving. A few of us got to chatting about why we were there. One girl said she just wanted to get her daily meditation practice back. She said, “life is just better when you meditate. I don’t know why, it just is.” Since then I have learnt many techniques and found reasons why meditation enriches anyones life who is willing to dive in but this simple and profound statement is what I come back to again and again. Life is just better. During this time I went on to complete Inteyoga 200 hour teacher training in Mysore. I then returned the following year to complete the 500 hour course. This path and solid foundation took me back to the Isle of Mull, Scotland where I grew up to start teaching Inteyoga, an integration of traditional Indian Hatha yoga practices from the Sivananda and Krishnananda lineages. Since then I have developed a strong meditation and intuition practice which led me to visit London to complete reiki levels 1&2. This has been a beautiful revelation that allows me to give distance healings using this powerful universal life force to YOU wherever you are in the world!
