''Care for young people's future CIC'', it's a Centre of Alternative Education and Reintegration for young people and families. Our mission and vision is: To support ,mentor and empower the young people from the Roma community and any other disadvantaged background : such as EAL, BAMER, SEN . To prioritise Looked after children and children with special needs without a diagnose by reconnecting them with their culture, heritage or community. To raise young people's aspirations and support them in achieving their best in life. To raise awareness of the Roma cultural background by working in partnership with all relevant services and public bodies. Covid -19 response Please note that due to COVID-19, our consultants have taken the difficult decision to suspend all face-to-face group and individual activities and services in response to Covid-19. This is to protect the most vulnerable members of the community and safeguard the health and wellbeing of everyone. We are starting face to face sessions in small groups and one to one for the most vulnerable young people. Our team have put in place alternative services where possible, e.g. telephone appointments, zoom sessions in Romanes and English. We are still doing outreach and provide educational activities to the most disadvantaged and vulnerable young people . CYPF are also supporting the Healthy Holidays and volunteered to provide activities and food during this time. “An integral process of how we move and breathe to connect to our life authentically. “ Kristel founded Yoga Horizons in 2010. She built three classes of 6 committed yoga students that stood standing for three years, all in different locations, one studio at her own home in Westfield, Hastings. After 10 years of specializing in 1-1 classes both therapeutically and as tailored yoga sessions for entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, sports, music courses and Cooperate Clients such as SAP and Lego, Kristel moved to develop her skills and become apart of the Occupational Team at The Huntercombe Hospital, Roehampton. In 2018, She was invited by the Director to write a program for yoga on Mental Health and Wellbeing, having become a popular Teacher and Facilitator for both Doctors, Psychologists and Patients. Lack of resources from public and private funding meant that the project reached proposal level. Kristel continued training, most recently before lockdown expanding into Yoga is nurseries and schools. With the lift of lockdown Kristel began outreach Therapy using yoga and wellbeing tools developed through movement and Therapy training to enhance the lives of children under 18 suffering with Autism, Learning disabilities and epilepsy. Kristel works outreach to Guildford, Surrey and Surrounding areas. In Sport, Kristel has been invited to be a visiting teacher at the Halerquins Women’s Rugby league team, bringing her practise to English National and International Women’s Sport as well as supporting the Young Mascots on Pitch side to Chelsea FC with their warm up to accompany the footballers onto the pitch. « I am delighted to be apart of Women’s International Sport and share in their Yoga Journey » Kristel Seidler Kristel continues to support Women’s sport at Chelsea FC in the Womens League.

Southgate Mosque was founded in 2021 as a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing prayer facilities to the local Muslim community. Southgate Mosque and Community Centre Ltd is a Registered Charity in England and Wales with charity number 1201327. We opened the doors to the Alan Pullinger Centre in Southgate for Jumuah prayers in November 2021. Within a few weeks, numbers had grown through word of mouth, and less than a year later, we were at full capacity. Our community Iftar event during Ramadan was over-subscribed, and over 400 people attended Eid-ul-Adha prayers in Groveland’s Park. There is a growing Muslim community in Southgate and surrounding areas (Oakwood and Cockfosters) made up of a varied demographic, ethnic and socio-economic population that makes an essential contribution to the fabric of the area. Our social, spiritual and educational needs continue to grow and hence the urgent need for a mosque in the area. We now have a unique opportunity to acquire a truly spectacular building set within its own extensive 3 acres of grounds in the heart of Southgate. The building itself is Grade II listed and is of special interest to English Heritage. If we were to succeed in establishing our centre here, we would be able ensure that in addition to meeting the current needs of local Muslims, we would be restoring a valuable asset within the local area, and would secure a legacy for generations to come. This project will not be easy and will take time, however it will only be possible with the support and contributions of the local community. We therefore appeal to you to donate generously and help us in whatever way you can to secure a unique legacy in Southgate for both Muslims and the wider community.

I was born in the 1960s in Somerset, UK the eldest of two daughters of Heather and Nick Bune. My mum was a housewife and dad a welder after starting an early career as a coal miner. The coal mining industry ran in the blood of my family as both grandfathers and all of my great grandfathers were coal miners. I grew up in a happy, loving home where money was always tight. There were no daytrips, no foreign holidays for me – in fact we didn’t have a telephone until I was a teenager and we didn’t have a car until I’d left home. At school I was one of those children who sits in the middle, grey and unnoticed, yet plodding on. I got seven O levels and a qualification in touch typing –my careers ‘adviser’ told me I should am to be a secretary or a nurse. Not a chance! However, I didn’t do as well in my A levels as expected and ended up going to a more ‘lowly’ college of higher education, now Bath Spa University. I took a degree in English Literature & History and loved it. I did well in my degree, getting a high 2:1 and took a PGCE and trained to be a teacher though quickly realised this was not for me. I always wanted to be a journalist – I used that year to apply for any relevant job. I eventually got a traineeship on a local newspaper in Somerset, then two years later moved on to a daily newspaper in Swindon, where I went on to be crime reporter and then business editor. I was also running as a volunteer a radio programme for Hospital Radio Swindon.

Lighthouse Futures Trust is an innovative and forward-looking organisation with a mission of changing the lives of young adults. We do this by designing and delivering engaging employability programmes that include opportunities to work with a range of local employers via a supported internship. Our curriculum focuses on two areas – Liveability and Employability – and is aimed at students aged 18+ with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP). We start by getting to know each of our interns so that we can understand their skills, experiences and aspirations for the future. We then devise a bespoke programme for them which combines a range of different elements including: working on-site at a range of local employers; 1 to 1 coaching & mentoring; group work; support in gaining qualifications in Maths and English; participating in an enterprise project where they learn to create and launch a new product and service. Our talented students have a range of support needs. Some have mild to moderate learning disabilities, others are on the autistic spectrum or have social, emotional or mental health support needs. They join the programme because they want to move into paid employment and showcase their many skills and talents and just need some extra support in order for them to fulfil their potential. Our role – and our passion – is to help unlock their talents and shine a light on their abilities. From the beginning of their journey with us, we support or students to develop skills so that they can forge their own pathways in work, accessing specialist support as and when they need it, but taking ownership of their future, from the start. Southend Adult Community College (SACC) is Southend Borough Council’s provider of adult education, providing education and training to more than 5,000 learners. SACC provides 100s of part-time leisure courses, English, maths, employability courses, traineeships, vocational qualifications, CPD and industry specific training for adults and for young people 16+ apprenticeships and full-time vocational programmes. SACC provides community outreach provision and family learning in local community venues and employee training and assessment on employer premises. SACC has three activity centres, its main Southchurch Centre, an adult centre at Belfairs Academy in Leigh and a specialist centre for young adults with complex and profound learning difficulties and disabilities in Westcliff. At our last Ofsted inspection, SACC was judged for the second time as a good college with outstanding features. Key findings are: • success rates have improved over the last few years and many are well above national rates • learners develop good practical, vocational and employability skills. They make good progress in developing these skills • learners on study programmes do well. The college has made a significant contribution to reducing the number of young people in the borough who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) • staff are particularly effective at finding good work placements for learners on employability programmes. These placements relate directly to learners’ aims and provide good workplace experience • teachers use their professional skills and knowledge well to help learners relate their studies to the world of work and gain employment or promotion • staff, at all levels, create good partnerships with a range of agencies. They use these partnerships well to help learners develop a range of useful skills • leaders work well to create, and monitor the effectiveness of a curriculum that meets the needs of learners and the local community.

I have to admit I have never learned this language but I did manage to learn words and make little sentences just by overhearing my mum talking to other family members. Days after I was born, we moved to Madrid, where I learned Castellano. Madrid is where I was raised with my two older sisters. When I was 21 I moved to Ireland to learn English and after a few years traveling around the island and working, I came to England with my son and his Dad. I have brought up my son bilingual, which has helped him with his Spanish GCSE. I have always enjoyed working with children but now I am teaching them my own language with the Kidslingo Spanish program, It is my dream job!!.
