Margate

I am a qualified Grade A ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) and, although it is not mandatory for me to be a qualified instructor I feel that the knowledge I have gained whilst training to be an ADI will greatly benefit my customers, I also hold a C+E (Class 1) HGV licence. I have owned horses for over 30 years and ran a successful horse transport business, transporting all types of horses and ponies across the country. Customers who undertake a towing course with Driver Training will benefit from being able to do their training in a comfortable car which has all the modern conveniences (heated seat, air-con, etc.), whilst towing an Ifor Williams 510 trailer which will replicate a vehicle of similar size if they are transporting horses or want to tow a caravan. If you are wanting to become a paramedic, ambulance technician or drive ambulances over 3.5 tonnes you will need a C1 category on your license ( if you passed your driving test after January 1998 you will need to do an additional test). Also horseboxes between 3.5 and 7.5 tonnes require this license and motorhomes and large vans. Driver Training run courses which cover all your training including the 3a (reversing) and 3b (on road drive) tests, advice is also available for D2, medical (D4), and theory tests. Based in Chesterfield we also cover Sheffield, Nottingham and surrounding areas. Our C1 Training and test is carried out in an Iveco Daily 7 tonne van and all C1 courses include both the 3a and 3b test fees. Liz Driver

Yolande yoga and birth

yolande yoga and birth

Yolande’s first introduction to yoga was back in 1994, when a friend took her along to the local sports centre, to explore what this ancient form of “exercise” had to offer. The class was full and felt and smelt nice. A waft of incense and the subtle background sounds of Indian chants welcomed them in and she was kind of already sold at this point. The teacher a wonderful women called Sharon, from the sivinananda linage, spoke softly and taught various breathing techniques and body postures, that left her feeling strong and relaxed at the same time. She returned each week, and yoga has been Yolande’s bedrock ever since. Over the years Yolande has felt privileged to have spent time with many great teachers, all offering their own perspectives and experiences of yoga which have inspired, and paved the path for her own healing and transformation. After many years of practicing Yolande went on to study with Katy Appleton of appleyoga in London for her 200hr Yoga Teaching certificate, so she could go on to teach her passion, pregnancy yoga. Yolande studied pregnancy and postnatal yoga with Nadia Narain at Triyoga in London and as an Active Birth Teacher with Janet Balaskas. Yolande has also been supporting women and their partners as a birth doula since 2013. Having established a teaching practice the call to study deeper lead her to Rishikesh, India to study with Akhanda Yoga, under the guidance of Yogrishi Vishvketu, and complete 300hr Advanced Yoga Teaching certification and was given her spiritual name Jeevika Devi.

Music with Mummy Winchester

Winchester Mummies and Daddies, you need ‘Jolly Josie’ in your life! I’ve been here in Winchester teaching the Music with Mummy programme since 2006 now; small, structured classes with simply gorgeous music, songs and activities. You’ll know many of the traditional favourites and you will grow to adore our original Da Capo creations. I recall one of my Mummies saying that we were quite literally THE soundtrack to her children’s early years and playtimes – when she looks back now, it is our music and song that was there as she raised her family in those first five years. And yes, of course, Daddies, Grandmas, Childminders, Great Auntie Joan(!) – it is not JUST Mummies that attend – your child can bring any special adult they’d like to! As an ex-primary teacher with an honours degree in child education and qualified teacher status, I have had years of teaching experience with school-age children, but it wasn’t until Music with Mummy entered my life (as a Mother taking my own young family to the class) that I began to realise the joy of working with the magical early years. From the tiniest new baby beginning to hit those very first developmental milestones up to my toddlers and pre-schoolers that are working with tempo or pitch and are finding their rhythm and VOICE – it’s just an utter joy and privilege to be part of your child’s early learning journey and to facilitate the musical experience, the fun, the laughter, the smiles, the special moments and the song.

The Company was formed to fill a recognised gap in the market for specialised, relevant, realistic training. Many companies are so worried about being sued that their training has been sanitised to the point where it no longer resembles the subject being taught. In the first aid industry, we believe this in itself is dangerous practice and as such pay particular attention to the statement made in the HSE guidelines whereby: “Training must be made relevant to the client’s work place.” Lots of courses are one course for all, this, we believe, does not fulfill the above criteria and so at ANUBIS we specialise in producing specific courses for specific groups. Our clients include: Doctors and Surgery Staff, Journalists, Outdoor Instructors, Helicopter Pilots and Crews, Expedition Leaders, Environmental Groups, Childminders, Nursery Staff and School Teachers, Pony Trekking and Off Road Vehicle Enthusiasts. As a Company we are approved by FIAB (First Aid Industry Body). All our instructors are able to teach from experience gained whilst dealing with casualties in a wide variety of environments. Although our courses are run in a relaxed informal manner we are always striving to maintain a professional standard, to this end we regularly run in-house training sessions with all our staff and encourage regular attendance of medical seminars and discussions. Equal Opportunities Policy We are committed to ensuring that all individuals are treated fairly and are valued irrespective of race, gender, health, social class, sexual preference or marital status. The same policy applies on the grounds of age or disability.
