Stained Glass -  2-Days Workshop For Two  9.00am - 15.00pm

Are you interested in learning how to make polymer clay jewellery? Join us for a fun and informative workshop that will teach you everything you need to know about conditioning the clay, texturing, cutting, shaping the clay, forming and moulding. You'll create a range of finished jewellery pieces that you can take home with you afterwards. This is a great way to learn some new skills and explore a wide variety of style and techniques that are easy enough for beginners but also have room for more advanced learners!

Making jewellery is the perfect way to express your creativity and personality, but it can be hard to get started. That's why we offer our Pewter Casting Workshop! This workshop will teach you everything you need to know about casting pewter in order to create jewellery pieces you can take home and wear. You'll learn about different casting techniques, as well as how to file and polish your finished pieces. This workshop also includes a wide variety of styles and processes for you to choose from. So what are you waiting for? Come learn how easy it is!

Figurative Sculpture In this day long course we will explore all aspects of creating a life size clay sculpture of a characterful human face. We will also start to explore the creation of a ‘beautiful’ face that you will be able to take home to finish… it can take many hours to complete something as complex. We will be using a special armature unique to the Sculpture Workshop and a wonderfully forgiving specialist clay. We’ll explore how expression and emotion manifest on the face. This workshop is great fun and light hearted, we don’t use jargon or judgement, anyone of any ability can join us and have a brilliant time engaging with their own creative potential.

During this 12 week course you will have the opportunity to work on your own project ideas to explore your different media choices.

Delve into the deep mysteries of Sacred Geometry - 'Art of the Ever-True', under the gentle guidance of SAOG Studios' senior tutor Daniel Docherty. You will learn how to draw the primary four, five and six fold 'Creation' Diagrams with the traditional geometer's tools of compass and straightedge. You will be introduced to the inherent symbolism of these symmetries and how they may be developed into a myriad of pattern possibilities. The pace of this weekend course will be set with beginners in mind and there will be time to enjoy conversation and colour ... and of course tea, coffee and cake!!!
