In 2001 the Eastern Region Roof Training Group Ltd was formed to assist with the provision of local cost effective training to all types and sizes of roofing companies within Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Northampton. Since 2001 the Group has grown considerably, just take a look at the services we now provide. Our members are committed to having a fully qualified workforce as they can see the benefits it has on their bottom line. Our members specialize in all types of roofing including Roof Slating and Tiling, Built-up Felt Roofing, Hot Melt, Single Ply, Liquid Applied Waterproofing, Industrial Roof Sheeting and Cladding, Rainscreens, Roofline Systems, Metals and Mastic Asphalt. As an established Education Skills Funding Agency and Department for Education approved training provider with an excellent track record spanning over 21 years, we are able to partner with many organisations that allow us to draw down funding which is then passed on to our members resulting in reduced training costs. Between 2013 and 2020, I worked for QS, the leading university rankings company. As China Director I have grown their profile and commercial success in the country substantially, including growing revenues in China by more than 15 times in five years. In 2016 my work was effectively endorsed by China's Vice-Premier at a speech highlighting the 2016-2020 Plan, affecting the funding allocations to 2236 universities with 48 million students, with an annual budget of £120bn. In 2009, I was the first Chinese elected to the UK National Union of Students' (NUS) national executive since its foundation in 1922. Between 2010 and 2012, as International Students Officer of NUS UK, I represented the interests of one million international and EU students studying at UK Higher and Further Education institutions, who contribute £30bn a year to the UK economy. Working closely with the UK government and education sector leaders, I launched the 'Global Future' campaign which aimed to internationalise the experience of 7 million students at 600+ UK students unions, as part of the UK Prime Ministers' Initiative on International Education Strategy. Here at Rowanberry we believe that learning happens at a childs pace not one set out by the government. As you may already know Scotland has one of the youngest school starting ages in the world (many starting at age 4). There is currently a campaign to allow children to defer their start for 1 year (August-December birthdays, Jan/Feb birthdays can already do this) whilst still being able to access funding from the council to attend a childcare setting such as Rowanberry. The campaign is called “Give them time”. In view of this we would highly encourage you to write a letter to your local MSP. We have attached a copy of the letter the Edinburgh Steiner School sent, and a template letter you could use. It all began in February 2003 when a group of artists and residents of north west Sheffield took part in the wond’rous watery walk – an event on the ponderosa. This was funded and planned through the garden rooms, an arts organisation that existed at the time, as part of bloom (a local festival in Netherthorpe, Upperthorpe and Langsett). Roanna Heller and Cassie Limb were inspired by Richard Long and Andy Goldsworthy, and wanted to create art in the park. They aimed for local residents in north west Sheffield to get involved, get inspired and engage creatively with naturally found objects. The Art in the Park project became bigger and more diverse than the garden rooms could support in terms of arts activity and in 2004 the project received it’s own Arts Council funding. Art in the Park as an organisation was born, running an event practically each month, which took the format of: a gazebo in a park, food, volunteers and nature inspired crafts. They were very low key, but showed there was a community need and interest in free, environmental art. Our limited company status was given in May 2006 and we became a registered charity in November 2006.

Collusion is an arts organisation. We create and produce new public artworks - our own and other artists' projects, that explore the creative use of technologies and the impact of emerging technology on society. Our activities support artists' talent development and place-making to deliver dynamic, imaginative new experiences for the public. We're inherently collaborative, creating new shared space with our colluders - artists and associates from the cultural and wider creative sectors, academics, commercial technologists and anyone with a contribution to make! We seek to create a supportive environment that supports playful experimentation and risk taking, leading to new ideas, collaborations, and creative innovation. Oh - and we have a great tech kit too. We're based at Cambridge Junction and in King's Lynn but work with artists from around the UK on projects across the region including in Norwich, Ipswich, St Neots and Wisbech. We're a not for profit company. Our income comes predominantly from project based grants with some generated through our support for other artists and delivering skills programmes; we have no core funding. Our mission: to build an international profile for the wider Cambridge area as an R&D centre for interdisciplinary arts and technology collaboration, to generate work that could only have been produced here.

We are also mums ourselves. From our personal and our professional experiences, we have a passion for supporting expectant and new parents and are working hard to create a new kind of space to meet the needs of modern parents. Between us we have met far too many families who feel they have somehow failed, done things wrong, or have just felt unsupported during their transition to parenthood. We want to create a group for local parents to help them to feel as confident, prepared and supported as possible. We are excited that Think Antenatal has been approved as a Community Interest Company. This means that any profits or funding raised are reinvested back into the company to provide subsidised places for more parents. We are passionate about providing comprehensive, honest information along with a space to think, socialise and have fun.
