We are a not-for-profit organisation delivering our services across the South West. For over 25-years, CSW whilst uncovering learning and work opportunities for thousands of people, has adapted to meet market demand and changing government policies to develop a broad portfolio of provision. We support businesses, young people and adults through key transition points. We deliver services that build aspiration and turn it into achievement, unlocking potential and developing individuals and organisations. Our team is motivated by the belief that support means more than a shoulder to lean on. We provide each individual with unfaltering attention, empowering them to make a lasting positive change. We aim to provide longer-term support that goes way beyond one-off contact. It is this commitment and dedication that has allowed us to achieve such fantastic results. CSW is contracted by the Local Authorities of Devon County Council, Cornwall Council, Plymouth City Council, Torbay Council and Somerset County Council to assist them in meeting their Statutory Duties under the Education and Skills Act 2008. These duties relate to the provision of services to encourage, enable or assist young people in effectively participating in education or training. To do this we are required to undertake tracking activities and to provide information to the DfE and the Local Authority in respect of personal information; individual characteristics and the current activities of young people aged 13-19.

At APEX Education we offer an education based alternative provision to meet a variety of needs across Somerset , Devon and Dorset. We offer bespoke educational packages that are designed to stimulate and re-engage hard to reach young people for whom more traditional mainstream school, PRU’s or other alternative provisions have not been successful. We believe that for some young people who have a historical negative perception of education our services can be life-changing. Each young person who we work with is seen as a unique individual – who will require a bespoke educational package that will meet their needs. We have forged close links with a variety of other alternative education providers and through these are able to offer Vocational education, Forest School and a variety of Sports based activities. If appropriate our staff will support young people in attending these services and transport can be arranged. Our provision is lead by qualified experienced teachers who understand the difficulties faced by some young people. Our staff are both highly trained and resilient as well as being resourceful and imaginative. They are often able to engage and work with extremely challenging behaviours and achieve positive outcomes. We have close links to a number of other Educational establishments and are able to assist and support with College transitions.

When you adopt you legally acquire full parental responsibility for the child, just like any other parent. Adoption is a way of making a real difference to a child, by giving them the love, stability and safe nurturing environment every child deserves. After adoption, all rights and responsibilities are transferred from the original parents to the adoptive parents. The child assumes the surname of the new parents, receives an adoption certificate to replace their birth certificate and becomes a permanent and full member of the new family. We believe that the stability of a forever family gives children the best possible chance of realising their full potential. Training and support will be provided to help you prepare for adoption and this support is continued for as long as you feel it is needed. Adopt South West aims to find safe, secure, permanent homes for children who are unable to live with their birth families. We work in partnership with Devon County Council, Plymouth City Council, Somerset County Council and Torbay Council.

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) is the newly merged Trust comprising University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and Weston Area Health NHS Trust. Bringing together a combined workforce of over 13,000 staff, the new Trust delivers over 100 different clinical services across 10 different sites serving a core population of more than 500,000 people. With services from the neonatal intensive care unit to care of the elderly, we provide care to the people of Bristol, Weston and the south west from the very beginning of life to its later stages. Our staff are the lifeblood of our Trust. They provide general diagnostic, medical and surgical services to the populations of central Bristol, south Bristol and North Somerset. These services are delivered from our Bristol city centre campus and Weston General Hospital with some services delivered in community settings such as South Bristol Community Hospital. We also provide specialist services such as children's services, cardiac and cancer services, and other smaller specialist services that are nationally commissioned, to a wider population through the south west and beyond. EuCAN is a Community Interest Company (CIC) working in the UK and other countries of Europe to involve more people and communities in the conservation management of their local environment, by providing training and practical experience for young graduates, potential volunteers and therapeutic groups, in nature conservation and in sustainable land management and food production enterprises. EuCAN CIC started life in 2007 as the European Conservation Action Network, a project linked to The Kingcombe Centre in west Dorset, and funded entirely by the Leonardo da Vinci strand of the EU Lifelong Learning Programme. Since 2007, The European Conservation Action Network has set up 23 different two-week placements and enabled nearly 300 volunteers to visit 11 partner organisations in the EU. In 2011, when The Kingcombe Trust was wound up, EuCAN became established as an independent Community Interest Company through which, in addition to promoting placements with our other EU partners, we have organised several conservation projects in Dorset and Somerset, are undertaking an increasing number of habitat management contracts using professionals and trainees working together, and have run training courses each year in botanical and lepidoptera identification and ecology, bumblebee conservation and id and other subjects. The CIC now acts as a hub for the wide network of volunteers, organisations and other contacts that EuCAN has cultivated since 2007.
