ewbury Speakers provides a safe, supportive and positive learning experience in which members learn to develop their communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. Members learn and practice in a friendly, non-threatening environment. They learn and practice alongside other people who are there for the same reason. They are taught by people, who just like them, were hesitant about public speaking but have now successfully developed their public speaking skills. Together everyone grows and develops their confidence and communication skills. And, best of all, they usually have fun as they learn. As a non-profit organisation Newbury Speakers is run by volunteers that give their time to help run the club. Community Outreach Newbury Speakers has been part of the Newbury Community for over 35 years. The club has staged numerous events such as free workshops and a Speakers Corner in the Market Place. Members have given speeches at local networking clubs and facilitated Speechcraft courses for corporations in the area. Speechcraft is a program designed to help develop public speaking skills and confidence in front of an audience. These skills are learnt over six two-hour sessions, one session per week. During each session participants learn and practice speaking and communication skills, and have the opportunity to learn and receive feedback from experienced speakers. The skills learnt by the participants, are not only relevant to public speaking but to all situations where verbal communication is required.

The online courses are designed for a wide range of people around the world, among them self-directed and life-long learners, educators, and high school and college students. The integrated, highly flexible web interface allows users, in effect, to audit Yale undergraduate courses if they wish to. It also gives the user a wide variety of other options for structuring the learning process, for example downloading, redistributing, and remixing course materials. Each course includes a full set of class lectures produced in high-quality video accompanied by such other course materials as syllabi, suggested readings, and problem sets. The lectures are available as downloadable videos, and an audio-only version is also offered. In addition, searchable transcripts of each lecture are provided. Who Leads Open Yale Courses? Diana E. E. Kleiner, Dunham Professor of History of Art and Classics and former Deputy Provost, is Founding Project Director and Principal Investigator of Open Yale Courses. The QIDTI Association was founded by John Rogerson and his International Associates to recognise Instructors around the world who have demonstrated the requisite level of professional instructing and or advising skill, personal expertise and understanding of canine training and behaviour The QIDTI Association works on a voluntary basis, encouraging all Instructors to gain the international standard set by the QIDTI Award. All those that meet that standard are invited to join our membership listing as a 'Qualified International Dog Training Instructor' for free to promote it, and those that wish to promote our aims and or work towards meeting that standard may join as a Supporting / Student member. The QIDTI Association supports 'national registration', and considers formal 'Affiliation' with the 'Registration Council for Dog Training & Behaviour Practitioners' (RCDTBP) is the way forward, to protect the public from what is currently an unregulated industry. The RCDTBP was officially founded to hold and manage the registers of Signatories to the nationally agreed 'CAWC Dog Behaviour & Training Code of Practice (2010). The CAWC Code was developed through a series of meetings organised by the Companion Animal Welfare Council (CAWC), following the publication of a national report on dog training & behaviour services in the UK (2008). The Code was agreed by the many industry dog training, behaviour and welfare groups concerned, as a workable document to regulate and improve canine services nationally, with the aim of uniting all individuals and industry organisations under it.

I have been a drummer for over 25 years and my professional career saw me touring the U.K. and Europe extensively. I also have a vast experience of sound engineering and promoting as well as recording. Having started with snare drum and percussion at school including playing with the Bristol School's Orchestra I later started playing the drum kit and taking my playing and lessons seriously. After a great deal of experience playing with local bands I met some very talented and experienced musicians with whom I set up a highly successful professional function band. This band toured extensively every year for 10 years both in the U.K. and abroad with their favourites being Holland, Germany and Portugal gaining an excellent reputation and attracting top level management. I mixed this with deps and recordings for a variety of artists covering many different styles. I started teaching drums privately after completing my first teaching qualification (I then quickly become a fully qualified teacher through studying in my free time). After building-up a successful private practice I taught in primary and secondary schools for Bristol City Council, Bath & North East Somerset and Wiltshire County Council. I have also taught in private schools and ran several series of highly popular band workshops in youth clubs in Bristol and Bath. I currently mix teaching drums with playing regularly with a variety of bands and teaching at Bath College.
