Across the Federation we cater for pupils between the ages of 2 to 19 with wide ranging special educational needs including physical and medical needs, Autistic Spectrum Disorders and social communication difficulties and severe and profound learning difficulties. Both schools enjoy excellent facilities and provide high quality, individualised provision for all pupils by working closely with other professionals. The over-riding aim of our Federation is to provide an inclusive education in the most real sense; preparing young people to take a confident and active place in society, who are well prepared to meet the challenges of adult life, including the world of work, continuing education and independent living and the world of day care provision for those where further education is not the most appropriate next step after leaving school. We are very proud of the Federation and are always pleased to welcome visitors. (Due to COVID-19 restrictions we are only able to offer a virtual tour) Whether you are a prospective parent and child, a colleague from another school or profession or a member of the local community please telephone either school and we will be happy to show you around. We hope that you can find all of the information you need on our websites – if not, please do not hesitate to contact either St Francis School or St Christopher’s School with your query where Administrative Staff and Senior Staff of each site are available to talk to you.

Marina started the Marina School of Dance in Whitchurch in October 2009 after graduating from the Royal Academy of Dance. The school started with just Ballet and quickly added ISTD Tap and Modern classes into the timetable. We currently have a massive range of classes including Acrobatic Arts, Street Dance, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and most recently Latin. Our team of teachers is constantly growing and all our teachers are encouraged to continually update their knowledge and training in order to give our students the best quality lessons. Marina and the team are members of many teaching organisations in order make sure that all lessons are the most current and up to date syllabus, this also means we can enter students for exams if they wish. Marina School of Dance follows the Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Syllabus, the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing Tap, Modern and Contemporary Syllabus and The Acrobatic Arts syllabus. After searching for a ‘home’ for many years we moved into our new studio in Overton in September 2020, whilst still continuing with our Whitchurch classes to be able to provide lots of options for local families. The new studio means we can offer a huge variety of classes and really make the most of the beautiful facilities. With shows, exams and performances every year there is always something exciting to look forward to. New pupils are always welcome, with or without any experience. We pride ourselves on including and providing opportunities for every single child. All children are encouraged to do their best and to work hard, whilst still having an amazing time and making lots of friends. We are very lucky to have wonderful students and families who are very supportive of the school, making us one big happy dance family. Please get in touch if you need any more information regarding timetables, fees, uniforms or any other booking enquiry.
