Our inspirational events include a range of activities to excite the passions and interests of children, while crucially teaching important areas of emotional intelligence, such as self esteem, resilience, handling anger and self confidence. We run single sessions as well as group sessions. In the latter, we provide fun activities to develop the students further at home, as well as optional parental / carer support. We want every child and teenage to complete the sessions with a big sense of achievement. Therefore a lot of energy goes into encouraging them with support, rewards, treats and other incentives. Man joined Bird College in April 2021; she is a qualified Accountant (FCCA) and holds a master’s degree in International Accounting and Financial Management from University of Glasgow. Man has more than 10 years finance and account management experience. After qualified from chartered certified accountancy practices, she joined the charitable sector 6 years ago as a senior finance person with the intension to apply financial skillset to support worthy causes. Man has a track record of transforming internal procedures to achieve financial objectives. Her area of expertise was overseeing accounting function; managing systems and procedures to ensure best practice in terms of financial control and compliance with relevant regulations such as SORP and pension; preparing annual statutory financial statements, budget and forecast; managing annual audit. Lutfur Haider BA (Hons) Assistant Accountant Lutfur joined Bird College in November 2022; as an Assistant Accountant with first class BA honours degree in Accounting and Finance. Lutfur was an Assistant Management Accountant in his previous role, progressing towards becoming an Accountant. Lutfur has been keen to advance in accounting and finance and has over 8 years experience with local community, retail and education. With a strong financial background, Lutfur has a proven track record of understanding and articulating needs and requirements of management involving wider operational departments. He possesses excellent communication skills, thrives with variety, enjoys working within a dynamic team solving problems and has an ability to adapt new strengths to suit the changing demands of a business. Daniel Taylor Production Manager Daniel originally trained as a performer at Bird College, but has always had a passion for the technical side of theatre. He has been fortunate enough to do event management, lighting and sound design and operation for professional events across Birmingham and London. Daniel’s experience both on and off the stage has allowed him greater insight into the inner workings of a professional production and has only served to inspire and fuel his artistic vision.

I used journaling during the stressful periods in my life – moving countries, moving homes, relationship breakdown. Now I use it for creative thinking, gathering insights, renewing motivation and strengths-finding! I love working with individuals and organisations brimming with ideas, hungry for growth, with creative sparks and love for their work popping from the moment they wake up! And yet, there is something getting in their way. That’s where I come in. I help clients move from block to breakthrough using creative approaches of journaling and coaching. I am creative and enthusiastic – and grounded and practical. In journaling I invoke imagination and play as, often, writing from “I” can be tiring. What is needed to jolt us out of our habitual or negative thinking are creative prompts. I always thought the world didn’t end at the end of my street! Growing up on the tiny island of Guernsey, I felt the pull of the other side, beyond St Peter Port Harbour! And stepping out, I… …..spent about a decade working overseas – Russia mostly, in Moscow and Ekaterinburg. I also lived in the Czech Republic, Japan, Italy, France and Germany. I went on many work trips to Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria for human rights organisations. ……I co-founded and ran a number of companies. Raise Your Game, a social enterprise which supported the young unemployed start their own businesses in London, and coached young students in pupil referral units and youth offending. Even earlier, I co-founded Communicating Cultures which worked in Russia on an ethnic minorities and the media project with partners the BBC Training School in Ekaterinburg and the Interethnic Cooperation Centre which is still going strong!
