I am a freelance Artist, illustrator, comic creator and Potter based in Lochcarron in the North West Coast of the Scottish Highlands. I run ‘Balnacra Pottery’ a studio space in a 200yr old former blacksmiths building East of Lochcarron at the community owned ‘Smithy Community Hub’. I have been a volunteer in local community groups for many years. I was a retained Fire Fighter Crew manager for 12 yrs, ran a comic con, also worked in youth support work and much more.

His own enjoyment of food makes him want his pots to inspire people to make good food, present it on or in interesting pots and to eat it in convivial company. After 25 years in the NHS, for the last 7 years I have had a new career as a glass artist and small business owner and all that entails. My husband, Chris, is a potter and we are enjoying running our businesses side by side! We live in Worcester and can often be found at art and craft shows and galleries, taking opportunities to meet other designer-makers in the area. Most weekends we either have classes or have stalls at an art & craft market somewhere in the Midlands. I am loving sharing my passion for all things glassy with other people and we have great fun with our combined courses with whole day courses including lunch.

Studio Pottery London is a light-filled and spacious workshop for all who are attracted to making with clay, from absolute beginners to more experienced potters. We are uniquely located in central London in the heart of Victoria. A place of calm and community, our carefully curated space provides a perfect environment for city-dwellers to come together to learn and create. Our classroom of 12 wheels ensuring intimate classes. Our members area is carefully designed to give the members premium space. Our resident potter welcomes members and students into his private studio for one-to-one throwing and mentoring sessions. Together, with the teaching team and technician, we provide excellent support for the studio community. Curated window and vitrine displays of historic and contemporary ceramics inspire our makers and are for sale to visitors. The community can socialise in the central area with its library, kitchenette and facilities. This space is also for talks and workshops. In the rear of the studio is the kiln and glazing room, monitored by our in-house technician.

A pottery retreat where potters come to develop their throwing skills with the help and support of potter Jo Osman, and her apprentices Lyndsey, Derek and Yoko. Feast on Jo’s delicious breakfasts and biscuits and Penny’s fabulous lunches. Our 2022 courses are fully booked. 2023 courses to June are now available to book on our courses page. July-December courses will be advertised via our sign up newsletter in the first instance in February and then released on the website. We have a small showroom in the studio with a range of functional and decorative stoneware and porcelain available to buy. You are always welcome to visit the pottery, but it is best to give us a call if you are travelling here specially. The studio will be open for our Christmas Sale from the 3rd-11th December.

Powdermills Pottery is housed in granite buildings that were once part of a nineteenth century gunpowder factory. It is found in the very centre of Dartmoor National Park in Devon and is part of the Duchy of Cornwall estate. Powdermills is the home and workplace of potter, Joss Hibbs: her range of pottery is sold in The Shop. Cream teas are served in the courtyard in the Summer season, and Throwing Courses are run year-round. The old workshop has been rejuvenated by local charity Friends of the Dartmoor Hill Pony and now houses the Dartmoor Hill Pony Exhibition, explaining the history and importance of the 'wild' ponies on Dartmoor. If you would like to see how Joss makes pots from materials found on Dartmoor using an 'anagama' kiln, please view the short film found on The Pottery page of this website. Joss at Powdermills Facebook page gives you an as-it-happens insight into current activities at the pottery (you can also find Joss Pottery on Twitter or Instagram). I studied ceramics for three years at Eastbourne College of Art. Since then I have worked as a potter and tutor for thirty seven years. I am currently dividing my time between producing my own handmade ceramics and running pottery classes for people of all abilities at my studio in Lewes UK. I am a qualified adult education tutor. I produce a range of domestic stoneware. My inspiration for this work is the coastline of Sussex. Where many summers were spent exploring the colours and textures of the coastal landscape, rock pooling, searching for shells, fossils and stones. I also produce one off pieces using the raku firing method. The results are unpredictable and the use of copper and silver wire enchance the finished piece. My work can be found in Alfriston Gallery, East Sussex, Lavernham Comtempory Art Gallery, Suffolk, Avocet Gallery, Rye. Alistair Fleming's shop in Lewes and Skylark, Lewes. Open Houses during the Brighton Festival in May and Artwave August-September in Lewes.

My name is Edit Juhasz and I am a Hungarian born ceramicist-designer, living and working in London. I have been throwing pots and tableware for over 30 years. Early in my life I saw a documentary about a master potter and was instantly mesmerised by watching him work. In that moment I knew I wanted to be a potter! Ever since then I have worked hard to master throwing and gain as much experience as possible. I have worked for many successful ceramics studios and artists. Over 20 years ago I started to focus on my own work and establishing myself as a contemporary ceramicist. Today, I sell to shops, restaurants and gallery’s in the UK and abroad. My work is my passion, and I feel incredibly privileged to do what I love every single day. Designing and creating tactile ceramics for people to use and enjoy in their everyday life inspires me.
