Termly learning, teaching and assessment meetings take place between SLT, class teachers and support staff using standardised assessments and professional judgements which help identify priorities to take forward and to identify learners who may require targeted support. All staff participate in an annual performance conversations to identify opportunities for career long professional learning linked to our school priorities. Observations and sharing classroom practice are used to identify and share effective teaching and learning across our school.

Government College, Hisar is a premier higher education institution of Government of Haryana. It is a prestigious college established in 1950 and has continuously been maintaining its heritage of providing quality education to students since then. The well furnished auditorium with good audio-visual facility provides ready arrangements for organization and rehearsal of different events. Other support facilities in the college include a well equipped Conference-cum-Activity Room, two permanent open stages, a Girls’ Hostel with the facility of mess, gym and recreational room and a modest Canteen. I am an accredited Conversations Worth Having practitioner, an ILM wellbeing coach, a cognitive behavioural therapy practitioner, a mental health first aider and Mental Health Swims host. Inspired by my love of the outdoors, and a Nature as Co-Facilitator programme, I like to weave the natural world into our conversations where possible. Parenting is hard work and it’s ok not to struggle on alone. I have spent my entire career working with young people, spending 20 years as a secondary school teacher before becoming a coach. I’m also a mum-of-two myself, so I know how difficult it can be. How does coaching work? Using a combination of talking and listening, alongside a series of practical steps, I help guide and encourage your child. Together we work through the issues that are troubling them to come up with a sustainable plan to set them on the right path for the future. How we get through our teenage years can pave the way for how we manage the rest of our lives. Distance shot - school building (Small) The school has over 1200 students with a thriving Sixth Form of 180 students, all taught in a state of the art building. The innovative and unique design of the building creates a calm atmosphere, very different to that of many secondary schools. The school has a long tradition in the town being established in 1905. It met in the town hall until the first purpose-built school known as Pudsey and District Secondary and Technical School was opened in 1911. The school subsequently became known as Pudsey Grammar School. Although the school is taught in a state of the art building, our core values are highly traditional based on the goal of ensuring that every student reaches their true potential. Our school is not just about the students gaining knowledge and qualifications although these are extremely important.
