Anne started academic life as a zoologist, having been ‘good at sciences’ at school. She moved into the world of accountancy for much of her career and is now a potter. Working with ceramics is a wonderful blend of science and art. There are many points in the process at which a pot can go wrong- cracking during drying, exploding during firing, the glaze not fitting; the list is almost endless. Those are mostly solvable through the application of science. A pot can also go ‘wrong’ because it simply doesn’t please the eye- the shape can be top heavy, a handle can be beautiful but wrong for the pot. Again, the list could be endless. However, the joy in a pot that works aesthetically and that has survived the brutal ceramic processes is a deep pleasure that makes the pursuit of ceramics such a pleasurable chase. Feeling, like many potters, that there is a life time of experimentation ahead of her, Anne particularly enjoys the experimental intrigue of clay. In recent years she has been exploring porcelain slip casting in natural forms, such as avocado skins, and the effects of rain on glazed, but as yet unfired pots. The scientist is never far below the surface. Anne works in her garden studio in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

I have been helping people make positive changes since I qualified as a hypnotherapist in 2002. I work with clients in a treatment room in central Bristol and online all around the world. I've been developing front end web and mobile apps in the United Kingdom for over 10 years. Recently my focus has been developing websites using Gatsby JS & TypeScript with various headless CMS's such as Prismic, Contentful, Headless WordPress, & DatoCMS, to name a few. DatoCMS is by far my favourite headless CMS. I've created a few open source plugins for DatoCMS. My two most popular can be viewed here along with the repos: Font Awesome v5 icons: PluginRepo Responsive widths: PluginRepo As well as contracting for various large SAAS platforms mainly using React JS, Gatsby JS & TypeScript, I'm now compiling and teaching a catalogue of courses on front end web development. Online Courses & Tutorials Way back when I was a junior developer, I was fortunate enough to have been mentored by experts in the field. This allowed me to rapidly progress in my career and understand and architect multiple large projects in my time as an expert front end developer. While I'm still largely involved in contract work, I'm simultaneously passing on the buck and sharing my knowledge. Get the same expert mentoring that I received by enrolling on one of my React-based courses and fast-track your understanding and knowledge in front end web development. It is my pleasure to be the Headteacher at Chelmer Valley High School. I am passionate about education and have been since joining the profession 30 years ago. I have worked in a number of schools as a senior leader and my previous post was also that of Headteacher. I have been fortunate through my career to work in a variety of settings from Inner City to a range of overseas posts in which I had the absolute privilege of being part of setting up a brand new British based school. I am very proud that visitors regularly comment on our ethos, the conduct and very positive attitude to learning of the students. The staff are superb and completely committed to supporting all the students in both their academic and social development. I have had the pleasure of working closely with our Primary partner schools enabling students to make the transition to Chelmer in a seamless manner. We are rich in a research culture and the effective sharing of good practice both within the school and across other schools. The underlying ethos of the school is enable all young people to access an education that is appropriate, inspiring, challenging and broad.

Over the course of an eighteen-year career in the English Language teaching world, I have developed a style and understanding which allows me to engage learners of all levels, styles and needs and across all age ranges. Working in both multilingual and monolingual environments in a number of countries has given me a broad spectrum of experience to draw upon when trying to understand the requirements of a learner and also the difficulties they experience during their English Language journey. More recently, I have worked in product design, development and delivery. Starting from the ground level of conception based on the needs of a specific course or group allows you to see how content must fit both the learners involved and the end result required. It has also given me the unique opportunity to deliver the course and continue to make adjustments to provide the students with the best possible experience and outcome. A number of these products also have London as a focal point. This has meant integrating the city into the language learning. After years spent living and working in the capital and visiting many of its sights, using London as a source of the lessons and the activities has given me an even greater understanding of the capital and the wonders it possesses.

At MSU, he utilizes his knowledge of performance enhancement and sports medicine to coordinate the rehab and injury prevention programs for all varsity sports while simultaneously improving the athletic performance for the Lady Bear teams. His areas of interest included functional movement and biomechanics, high speed treadmill training, and metabolics. He believes that sports are not only a great outlet for people of all ages and levels to get exercise, express themselves and relieve stress, but it teaches us all a great deal about ourselves and others.
