We are a government funded Community Interest Company (CIC) who are experts in sport and education. With a background of over 20 years in this sector, we are creating the next generation of sports professionals and leaders. Currently working in partnership with 70+ basketball, rugby and cricket clubs nationwide. Having worked hard to build relationships with the local Nottingham community, we have been able to provide high quality sports related qualifications, advice and mentorship. Helping Kids Achieve is about empowering young people, especially those aged between 5 and 17 with the skills needed to become leaders by building a better future for the next generation. With the help of a team of charities and organisations, we will be able to achieve this goal together. From humble beginnings, Helping Kids Achieve has been featured on Notts TV, The Nottingham Post, BBC Radio Nottingham, BBC East Midlands and even have won an award at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year due to the work we provide for the community. We primarily operate in Bulwell, Bestwood and St. Anns, where we focus on sports, arts & crafts, music and dance to create a fun environment for everyone involved. Our mission is to change the world – one girl at a time. Rites for Girls trains women to mentor girls right through their adolescence and to facilitate girls’ groups.  In Girls Journeying Together groups preteen girls prepare for puberty and learn how to take charge of their emotional, social, and mental well-being. This guidance continues through their teenage years.  Our Facilitators also support their mothers as the girls journey through this pivotal phase.  Our Girls’ Net groups provide guidance and camaraderie through times of challenge to small groups of same-age girls (aged 8-18) in weekly online sessions.  Our Mentors offer tools for coping well and the girls access their inner resources while also realising that they’re not alone.  We train women to become the woman they needed in their lives when they were young.  And together we make growing up for girls an easier, safer, and better supported journey.

SEND Parenting support group in Essex The MAZE is a unique approach to SEND which offers insights into how children with additional needs experience the world. We have free monthly coffee mornings in Colchester, Mistley and Harwich, a specialist weekly programme available online and face-to-face in Colchester, Clacton and Harwich. Our sessions are open to all and aim to increase access to nature. We are committed to providing high quality forest school sessions with a percentage of subsidised and free places on every programme, delivering in accessible spaces and developing strong communities around each programme. Research shows that the closer we get to nature, the happier we are, the more worthwhile life seems, and the more we are willing to take action to help our wildlife and the environment. With a focus on increasing accessibility to forest school and natural spaces, we also deliver free holiday sessions for children receiving free school meals and those with additional needs, as part of Lincolnshire County Council’s Holiday Activities and Food Scheme. We provide inclusive sessions for families with autistic children and funded forest school sessions in inner city areas. We also deliver forest school programmes for home educating families, holiday clubs and in schools. Our parent and child groups introduce children and families to nature play and activities based on forest school principles. We continue to extend our provision, to offer more free and subsidised places, develop a volunteer programme for young leaders and offer sessions to adults and families that support mental health and wellbeing.
