Beyond Coaching

Mandalas can be seen in all fundamental shapes such as in snails and trees, in atoms and the solar system and in the earth, moon and sun. Every mandala is related, yet distinctly unique. On a more symbolic level, the mandala is recognised in some way or another in almost every culture and religion. For us at Beyond Coaching, the mandala lies at the heart of the Self… It is the centre of our inter-connectedness with everyone and everything around us. It speaks to the eco-systems that we exist in in the companies we work in, the people we work with, lead and inspire. It also manifests in our personal circles, our friends, family and the communities we exist in. The mandala embodies a truly universal principle that is all embracing, regardless of the foundation of one’s belief. It symbolises the connections that exist between us and everything that surrounds us. More than anything it represents Wholeness and our African value of uBuntu. This is what drove us to form Beyond Coaching in 2009, when 21 like-minded coaches and trainers pulled together in the possibility of forming a coaching and training movement. One that is powered by Consciousness and committed to transforming the face of leadership and business. Bringing true collaboration, cohesion and mutual care back into the work place – for the sake of the people and of course for the sake of exponential business success. Rienzo Colpo was one of those founders he navigated the metamorphosis of that Beyond Coaching, to the lean and powerful force that it is today. Early in 2016 Mareli Kruger decided to move across from the University of Pretoria and join Beyond Coaching. This completed the foundation of senior coaches and master facilitators heading up the company.

Needles and Sparkles

For as long as I can remember there has always been thread in some form or another in my life. Be it stitching embroidery kits,a french knitting dolly or even hooking a rug when I was a child. I formalized my threadiness with a three year apprenticeship at The Royal School of Needlework at Hampton Court Palace, receiving the best training in all aspects of hand embroidery. From goldwork to bothsides alike with canvas work, stumpwork, beadwork, jacobean and many other wonderful techniques thrown in for good measure. Upon completing my apprenticeship I went to work for Jimmy Choo couture and the Jim Henson Company. I also have had the privilege to be responsible for pieces for the likes of Prince Charles, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Sultan and Sultana of Pehang, The Sultan of Brunei, the AA, Acorn Designs Ltd, Adidas, , Barbara Clark, Barbara Windsor, Ben de Lisi, Bruce Oldfield, The Beckhams, Catherine Walker, Chanticleer, Clemonts Ribeino, Colefax and Fowler, Dame Edna Everage, Dizzy Rascal, Estelle, Hardy Aimes, Irish Rugby Union, Jasper Conran, Jenny Dyer, John Lobb Ltd, Julia Taylor, Kevin Arpino, Kylie Minogue, Lady Sovereign, Lipsy, Lennox Lewis, Lesley Cutler, Marion Thomas, Miss Dynamite, Robinson and Valentine, Sassi Holford, Sharon Bowen, Sharon Cunningham, Sharon Osborne, Shirin Cashmere, Steven Hakes, So Solid Crew, Thomas Pinks, Tristan Webber, Turnball and Asser, Ulrich Engler, Victoria Bain, also theater productions such as An Inspector Calls, Lion King, Miss Saigon and Romeo and Juliet amongst others. In 2009 I had the honor of being asked to work for The Royal Household at Buckingham Palace. A school system which is the most inspirational and supportive environment possible for the physical, emotional, psychological and intellectual development of young people. OUR MISSION To support young people in the exploration of their emotional development and creative potential. To support those who mentor, teach or lead students in the promotion of inspiring, effective and ethical practice. WHAT IS MYTHODRAMA? The purpose of playing is to hold the mirror up to nature. William Shakespeare – Hamlet Mythodrama is a unique form of experiential learning that allows participants to “act in” desired behaviours and attributes. We employ a powerful combination of theatre practice, psychology, mythology and organisational development. It provides inspiration and learning for lasting change. So much is at stake and so much depends on the psychological constitution of modern man. Does the individual know that s/he is the make weight that tips the scales? Carl Jung The psychological aspect broadens perspective and unleashes new possibilities in individuals and organisations. It creates a context to find greater meaning in our work. The abuse of greatness is when it disjoins Remorse from power William Shakespeare – Julius Caesar Shakespeare’s genius provides timeless insights into the human nature of leadership, at all levels. Each of his plays contains a great mythology on the human condition. We can project our own issues on to these mythologies, to gain deeper insight into the nature of the challenges we face in our own lives and work. All this is done in a practical, relevant and down-to-earth manner and is designed to engage even those who would normally feel out of their comfort zone with a theatrical metaphor. Mythological symbols touch and exhilarate centres of life beyond the reach of vocabularies of reason and coercion Joseph Campbell Mythodrama extends the range of participants’ thinking, behaviour and action.

Elaine Whittaker - yogabeing

elaine whittaker - yogabeing

My name is Elaine and I love yoga! I've been enjoying yoga myself for about 45 years and teaching for 15 years. My Bicester yoga classes are gentle and mindful. No rushing from posture to posture. We take time to be. My aim when teaching is for you to be comfortable, relaxed and happy. For you to feel calm and confident, free from physical tension and mental stress. Most of the ladies in my classes are in their 50's, 60's and 70's and appreciate the more gentle approach I take in teaching. Classes start with a short period of breath awareness, followed by some gentle warm up movements. Then we enjoy some postures (asanas) often in the form of sequences so you can lose yourself in the soft flow of the movements. We finish with some breathwork (pranayama) and a lovely relaxation leaving you feeling calm and peaceful. I like to drip in little glimpses of the philosophy behind yoga and will sometimes share a short reading or poem to enhance the mood of the class. In addition, I integrate aspects of mindfulness into my teaching. Whilst none of us can remove the stresses from our lives, we can develop coping mechanisms to avoid tension building physically, mentally and emotionally. Yoga can help you release tight muscles and improve your sense of balance physically and mentally. You learn to unravel the knots of physical, mental and emotional tension and gain a greater sense of wellbeing. Let your yoga class be an oasis of calm in a busy life... like pressing a pause button .. time to unwind and refresh. Beginners are always welcome - my gentle style of teaching means all can enjoy classes. Come and find your inner goddess .. that calm, tranquil woman who can sometimes become hidden in a busy life. Yasmin's Yoga

yasmin's yoga

Sending you a very warm welcome from Brighton. If we've met you'll know me as Yas or Yasmin and if not I hope our paths connect one day soon! In my late teens I developed a keen interest in natural health & wellness, as a result of losing my wonderful mother to cancer. This would eventually lead me to Thailand and India where I would learn about Ayurveda, Shamanic Medicines, Detoxing & Cleansing and the value of natural living. I would come to learn the importance of health from the inside out and the integral balance of mind, body & spirit. A few years later I started to delve into the world of yoga and soon began to rely on my practice, as it brought me a sense of peace that I had not yet experienced. This led me to complete my Teacher Training along with many other courses and workshops, helping me to deepen my knowledge and understanding of this beautiful practice. My travels also afforded me the privilege of learning meditation with Buddhist monks. I have always been inspired by those who live yoga as a way of life and I am unbelievably passionate about sharing this practice with others. As you scroll through the site you will find my classes and workshop offerings, as well as my blog where I occasionally brain dump! If you are interested in one to one yoga sessions, personalised group classes, meditation & breathwork or a natural health consultation, please use the contact form to get in touch as I would love to hear from you. For upcoming workshops and events you can book directly online and if you'd like to gain access to early bird tickets & discounts you can subscribe to my mailing list below. Thank you so much for stopping by and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions at all!
