Mark Kingham has a Masters in Chiropractic and also holds a PG Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine. He offers a unique sports chiropractic approach to pain and injury management, prevention, and treatment. In his clinic, Mark utilises both MLS®️ Laser Therapy and MODUS Shockwave Therapy to support his patients. In this webinar, he will discuss how he combines these treatment modalities to deliver excellent outcomes. He will be discussing both how students can navigate film festivals and make their work stand out, and also his experiences working in a position of creative control on a large-scale blockbuster film. Date: 12th March 2024 Time: 4pm Location: Studio A Acclaimed actress Ruth Negga will be joining us in a Professional Perspectives session next month, discussing her career, experiences working with many famous directors (Neil Jordan, Jeff Nichols, James Gray & Duncan Jones amongst others) as well as on TV shows such as Preacher, Misfits and Agents of SHIELD. DATE: 15th February TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Classroom 2 St John Ambulance have kindly agreed to provide a First Aid Safety Information workshop to any interested Central Film School students. Areas of focus will include how to be safe on a night out, and also how to handle injuries specific to film sets (burns, electrocution, etc.) This is fantastic information to have both for your professional development and personal life. DATE: Tuesday 28th May TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A Jordan Gifford is an up and coming writer, director and producer who will be coming in to give advice on looking for Freelance Film work. He will discuss his own burgeoning career, how he went from a runner to working in film locations, to being given the opportunity to produce his first feature film, all whilst also finding his own voice as a writer/director of dramatic short films. You will get the chance to ask him questions directly as well, and hear advice from someone who not too long ago was in your shoes exactly. Be sure to book in advance if you want to come along.

Daniel Day-Lewis came storming into the world of cinema with his role as Johnny, a hardened street punk hiding his true identity. Director Stephen Frears captures the mood and vibe of Thatcher-era London, creating a time-capsule of a distant world we're unfamiliar with. Book your tickets in advance.

DATE: Tuesday 21st May TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A The renowned and brilliantly-chameleonic actor Jason Flemyng is coming to Central Film School this month, and we couldn't be happier to have him. With an amazing CV including films and series such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Boiling Point, A Town Called Malice and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Jason will be talking about his career, how the industry has changed and giving practical, down-to-earth advice for our actors. There will also be an opportunity for students to put their own questions to Jason, so make sure you book a ticket and come along!

Max will be joining us on Thursday afternoon to discuss how best to market yourself and find work as a freelancer in the film and television industries. With years of experience under his belt, this will be a great Life Skills Session to attend to learn about life after CFS. Max will also discuss his experiences founding a production company and operating as a sole trader, so that attendees can learn of all the many ways to make a living independently in the business.
