We are a craft organisation and registered charity based in Leigh Park, Hampshire, with impact across the UK. We literally make space for people and organisations involved in craft, through a programme of workshops and experiences that are co-created with community partners and through consultation with local people. Our specially tailored projects inspire, challenge, skill-up, engage and build new audiences for the sector. They have lasting local impact, and are often transformational for participants. Working in collaboration with local charities, essential need services and community groups we are inclusive to all, making space for a thriving, creative community. We offer both first-time experiences of craft and work with those who want to take their skills to the next level. We enable people to develop new ways of thinking about craft and experience first-hand the important presence of craft in everyday life. Raising the profile of craft in all its forms, we work with local and national arts organisations, contributing to debate, supporting makers and providing opportunities. Through our outreach projects, we work with partners including schools, children’s centres, family learning environments and retirement homes.

They are suitable for experienced artists and complete beginners alike. They tend to be in the mediums of watercolour painting, mixed media, art journaling, or illustrated poetry, comics & graphic narratives. I am a regular tutor at the Royal West Academy, Bristol, and I'm also available for one to one tutoring, and group private workshops. For several years I was the Head of Art at Didcot Girls' School, as well as the Fine Art course Leader for A level at Didcot Sixth Forms in Oxfordshire. I offer A level and GCSE tutoring and have an up to date DBS certificate. I enjoy helping people to develop their drawing and painting skills, and to find their voice. precious metals workshop

Established in 2010 by Goldsmith Ian Nicholson [http://www.thisisian.com/] and located in Edinburgh’s creative space Out of the Blue [http://www.outoftheblue.org.uk/], the Precious Metals Workshop (PMW) is Edinburgh’s leading independent workshop for goldsmiths, silversmiths, jewellers and hobbyists. We run courses [https://www.preciousmetalsworkshop.com/courses] for all levels of skills and provide access to a large range of tools and facilities necessary to create jewellery. We are a safe space for creative minds, home to a family of makers [https://www.preciousmetalsworkshop.com/jewellers] who share their knowledge and skills while inspiring each other and benefiting from an artisan vibe within the workshop. We operate several programs based on helping people start their own jewellery careers, providing a free bench and facilities access as well as weekly business mentoring. There is continued exploitation in the mining of metals and gems and we are proud to support two third-world women’s mining groups. The Precious Metals Workshop is a community of makers, where we share our knowledge, skills and inspire each other as creative individuals. We provide a range of specialised equipment including soldering stations suitable for casting, pickling tanks, wheel and barrel polishers, ultrasonic tank, bubble etching tanks for copper and silver, fly press, ring stretchers, stone setting tools, heavy duty vices, bench drills, hammering stumps, silversmithing hammers, draw bench and plates, metal guillotine, rolling mill, large and small kilns. We have an extensive collection of resource books on techniques and practices to support both our emerging and established makers.
