We are an independent multidisciplinary centre offering children’s therapy services in the South East of England, Kent, East Sussex, as well as nationally and internationally. Amongst many therapeutic approaches we offer, we specialise in Sensory Integration Therapy and have therapy rooms equipped to the highest standards by our partner, Rompa, the leading UK Sensory Rooms designer and supplier. We also offer Neurofeedback treatment for both children and adults. We are building on the work of the Christmas Childrens Clinic established in 1989, by Jill Christmas, Occupational Therapist and author of ‘Hands on Dyspraxia’ and ‘Sensory Dinosaurs’. Based in Crowborough, East Sussex, we offer therapy in the centre and also in schools and children’s homes. We also offer intensive therapy to clients from all over the UK and abroad who come to visit and stay for courses of intensive treatment. I create and hold a space where participants can take creative and emotional risks to express themselves on the page in short (5-25 minute) bursts of 'live' spontaneous writing (poetry, narrative, prose-poetry, autobiographical fiction, memoir, and other forms), in response to a range of prompts. Participants can choose to share their writing and/or to discuss their reflections on the writing process, knowing that anything they do share will be held supportively. I constantly marvel at the diverse pieces generated by a single prompt and a time limit, and it’s a privilege to witness people grow in confidence as they entrust themselves, their writing and their creative process to the group. I have a background in ELT / TESOL (English Language Teaching / Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), and I’ve been a published author in this field for about 15 years. This work draws on my years of experience as a teacher and teacher trainer, and satisfies my deep interest in the patterns, sounds, and nuances of meaning of English.

Suzy is also an independent artist and author who works from home. Through photography she developed a passion for wolves and conservation, inspiring her to share her home with Okami, an Alaskan Malamute. Okami now lives with a 4-year-old female rescue Siberian Husky called Yuna, whom Suzy adopted from a sled-dog rescue as a puppy. Suzy decided Yuna should stay with her as her forever home, due to her anxiety and working lines, which she has harnessed into sled-training and agility for fun. Their older brother, a 14-year-old Pomeranian called Iggy aka Mr Teddy Pompoms passed away in January 2017, but will always be remembered as the inspiration for their Golden Oldie visits. Throughout her life, Suzy has lived with dogs, from a Cocker Spaniel to a Giant Schnauzer. This experience of handling various breeds being very useful at the W&W. Meeting Fran and Poppy has meant the creation of Wolf and Whippet and the opportunity to further study Canine Behaviour. Focusing on Northern and Primitive breeds, offering advice to rescues and other professionals.

Learn Bookbinding - Workshops & Bookbinding Supplies. I first became interested in bookbinding at university while studying illustration. As an illustrator of books it was natural for me to want to make my own. Having the ability to bind my own books meant I was able to present my ideas to publishers as a high-quality, faithful representation of the potential published book (which is essential as a Children’s Author-Illustrator). I also became interested in self-publishing my own work as short-run batch productions and selling them via book shops and zine fairs. I learned to bind books as a student and I was aware at the time of the difficulty and expense in locating the ‘correct’ tools and materials. These problems lead me to take traditional bookbinding techniques and develop them in a way that makes bookbinding more accessible to everyone. I have been teaching my unique, user-friendly workshops for over 10 years in educational institutions and to the public and they are always enthusiastically received. I look forward sharing my craft with you soon!
