Both of us have years of experience in our specialist areas, which we want to share with you. Our courses are more than just learning new skills and techniques; they’re about learning with confidence and the company of like-minded people and tutors. “It was a lovely class yesterday. We are extremely lucky to have access to a beautiful woodland with two meadows, nestled on a gentle slope on the stunning South Downs. We also have a fantastic view across to Lewes and Firle. Having the chance to shine, to experience personal satisfaction, enjoyment and achievement is good for anyone. It increases motivation and general happiness in life. All children and young people deserve to experience this! Children love learning outside and at South Downs Forest School we offer a wide range of bespoke Forest School Programmes and Outdoor Learning events to support children and young people from disadvantaged and vulnerable backgrounds with their learning, development and wellbeing. Overwhelming evidence shows that children are often happier learning outside; rich, exciting and stimulating, woodlands provide opportunities to learn a wide range of skills as well as develop emotional intelligence, resilience and well being. We are passionate about getting children and young people back into contact with nature and support them in discovering this rich and stimulating learning environment. If you have a group of children that would like to come and experience a Forest School programme or Outdoor Learning session, we can offer bespoke programmes or events to suit your needs. Sessions are led by an enthusiastic teacher with experience in many fields of education, Forest School, Outdoor Learning, Special Educational Needs and Well Being. We believe that the Forest School experience, with its strong element of self-directed learning over an extended period, encourages self confidence, self esteem, problem solving and team building. We do not compete or examine our dancers. It’s wonderful and refreshing to experience a non-competitive environment. When Ruth Anne Rogerson and her daughter Tammy founded Dance London in 1993, they wanted to create a studio that focuses on technical training and the love of dance. A place for everyone to be themselves and just enjoy dance. 25 years later, we are still following the same philosophy. When you take the competitiveness, awards, examinations, and medals out of dance, everyone can just be. Our dancers, parents and faculty don’t compete with one another— instead, they encourage and support each other. Everyone is equal and a part of our family. At Dance London, you become a part of a family that supports and encourages one another. Your child won’t feel left out or overshadowed by others, because no matter their age or skill level everyone is treated equally. Your child will be placed in the best class based on their skill level and age. All 6 – 17-year-old classes are based on skill level and age. This builds our dancers’ confidence by not feeling lost or behind in class. It also gives our high-level dancers the opportunity to keep progressing and not be held back in a class that is not challenging. By grouping dancers together that are in the same age range, they are able to connect and bond socially with their peers. We cap our class size. Instead of packing as many dancers as we can into our classes, we have a maximum number of dancers allowed per class. This allows our faculty to give enough one-on-one attention to each student.

Finishing my Masters degree in Business management and English back in 1990, I was drawn to my initial love for teaching. From then on, my career path veered from teaching to customer coordinator, project manager to being a progress coach in a Sixth Form College. This last step inspired me to become a qualified coach. I decided to leave full time employment in September 2016 and after a very enjoyable 6 month training with Animas I got my Transformational Life Coaching certificate in May 2017 and became ICF (International Coaching Federation) accredited in June 2018. As a true multipotentialite, my life also involves many projects, volunteering, mentoring and training. My coaching clients vary from students to corporate, self employed and Academics. Issues we have been addressing range from self confidence, lack of direction and clarity to procrastination. My own learnings through this amazing journey have been patience and looking at others’ perspectives and stay curious. My key skill is presence and intuition. Looking forward to carrying on growing as a professional coach, I seize every opportunity to attend talks, networking events, read blogs, volunteer and reach out to the community. In the long run, my main goals are to keep helping the most in need: the youngsters. I truly believe in the power of pure coaching and will endeavour to keep learning and better my skills to help you obtain the change you crave for. Our Worship Our place in the Methodist family The Methodist Church in Scotland is part of the Methodist Church in Britain and the worldwide Methodist Movement -see the World Methodist Council. History The first Methodist societies were formed in the 18th Century by those who heard John Wesley and his preachers. John Wesley and his preachers were itinerant; they travelled almost incessantly. John Wesley believed that no preacher should stay with a society for more than 6-8 weeks; after that the people would no longer be attracted by the preaching. Methodist Structures Local churches are grouped into Circuits, within which preachers, deacons and presbyters are shared. The Circuit Meeting is chaired by the Superintendent Minister of the Circuit. There are 7 Circuits in the Scotland District, which covers all of Scotland, apart from Shetland. Representatives from all the Circuits attend the Scottish Synod, over which the Chair of the District presides. The Scotland District sends representatives to the Conference of the Methodist Church in Britain, over which the President of the Conference presides. Ecumenical Relations The Methodist Church in Scotland belongs to the EMU partnership between the Scottish Episcopal, Methodist and United Reformed Churches in Scotland. It is one of nine member churches of ACTS – Action of Churches Together in Scotland. As an MRS Accredited Centre, we are approved by the Market Research Society (MRS) to provide tuition for both the MRS Advanced Certificate and the MRS Diploma. We take an innovative approach to delivering the MRS Advanced Certificate and MRS Diploma syllabuses. We’ve analysed published studies and interviewed past MRS students to find out what exactly students want, and have used the findings to develop our own learning approach. We’ve harnessed this unique approach to the latest in distance learning technology, offering students an engaging online learning environment and live online tutorials. The Research Academy team has a deep understanding of what market research is and what it is used for. All of us currently work in market research, social research or both. Our clients range from government bodies and charities to Fortune 400 brands and communications agencies. Every one of us has been a university lecturer, a trainer or both – some of us for more than 20 years. We want to train good researchers, and we think participatory teaching and learning are the best ways to do this. This means lots of discussion and debate, lots of asking questions and sharing ideas, and plenty of feedback on written coursework and mock exam questions.
