The Alamiyah School stems from a project which began in 2005 with a determined group of home-schooling parents who were eager to create a positive learning environment for their children; one that would foster not only a love of knowledge but give the children a moral framework and nurture each child’s unique genius. The project was subsequently joined by a group of educational professionals and evolved into the Alamiyah Pre-school. We registered as an independent school (Alamiyah School) in 2017 allowing us to cater for school age pupils. The school now caters for pupils of age 3-11 years till the end of the primary age range. The Alamiyah School is inspired by the Prophetic Tradition and will use a curriculum infused with the prophetic stories, arts and sciences. The Montessori approach to early years is the framework upon which the school is based, thus creating an educational experience based on ancient wisdoms and modern discoveries. The Montessori approach creates an environment that offers each child the opportunity to express and develop their individuality and their innate need to learn. It is based on the natural laws of human development (fitra) confirmed by scientific advances and is therefore perfectly in line with a prophetic model for education. The curriculum is child centered, encourages independence and fosters empathy and compassion. The project is lead by an enthusiastic group of teachers trained in the Montessori approach, with many years experience with young children. Our teachers are professionals in their field and have a deeply rooted interest in education. Each of them has come to appreciate the importance of the early years learning in a child’s education and development.

Fi grew up in London and throughout her childhood was always either making things, drawing or painting. She did her foundation course in London and then chose to leave the city and take her degree in Fine art Painting in the beautiful city of Bath. After spending a couple of years, based in a studio group in Bristol, making her own work, she decided to move back to London and shortly thereafter she did a PGCE and began her teaching career. After having her son, and due to work commitments, Fi and her family moved to Worcester and this is where she began honing her skills as a jeweller. She is now a jewellery designer and painter, offering unique, handmade jewellery pieces which are mostly made in silver, incorporating semi precious stones and accents of gold. Jewellery commissions are regularly undertaken and include recycling of old jewellery pieces to make new. Her jewellery is inspired by the style of ancient and archaeological pieces and natural forms and aspire to having a very handmade, and 'just dug up' look. Most of the work has been hand forged but more recently Fi has employed the lost wax casting process and now also runs workshops. Vibrant colour plays a large part in both her painting, prints and jewellery. Having trained in Fine Art, she uses the studio to paint in and undertakes portrait commissions. Having a portrait painted of a loved one can be an excellent way to mark a special birthday or occasion. As with possible jewellery commissions she would be more than happy to discuss requirements and options. There are a selection of workshops which can be booked in her studio, based on jewellery making and painting. Workshops can be a fantastic way to learn a new skill or done as a group can be a wonderful experience.

What we now know as King John’s House and the adjoining Tudor Cottage were once a small part of Church Court in Romsey and are Church Court’s only surviving buildings. By the turn of the 19th and 20th century, the Court had been reduced to little more than a densely populated slum housing among the most impoverished of Romsey’s residents. At this time you would find no mention of King John’s House on any map or in any book as it was just a run-down building in a run-down part of Romsey. In modern times we know that the House was once a very high status building and part of a major medieval complex although its exact purpose is not completely understood. You can see many early features dating from this time, including fine stone masonry, ancient roof timbers and graffiti cut into medieval plaster. The Museum features aspects of Romsey life during the Victorian and Edwardian period. The 'old gun shop' has been reconstructed upstairs, using original fixtures, fittings and display items, while William Moody and his sister wait to greet you in the recreated parlour in the room behind. When you visit the House and Museum you can discover how and when King John became associated with the House, how it descended from high status medieval building to slum over 800 year of continuous occupation and use and why the Moody family are so important to the history of King John’s House. King John’s House and Museum are in the custodianship of a registered charity, dedicated to preserving King John’s House for future generations. We are a UK registered charity (no. 220764) and in 2017 we joined the Hymns Ancient and Modern group. We are here to help preachers. If you're a preacher, you've come to the right place. Because we exist to help you with your preaching ministry! There are three main ways by which we can do this: through publications, events and training. We're a network of preachers, some experienced and some new to the task, ordained and lay, from different denominations and traditions, drawn together by a shared belief that good preaching matters, who want to help each other fulfil their preaching ministry. We warmly welcome others wanting to join us to develop and share their gifts. To individuals... we offer varied opportunities to enrich preaching, in particular through a variety of resource material - magazine articles, sermons and reviews - in print and on line our events - occasions to meet leading preachers from this and other countries, to attend workshops run by College tutors, and to share fellowship and experiences with other preachers open seminars for basic and more advanced preaching tuition, and discussion of important issues for preachers. We regularly work with... other bodies engaged in the training of clergy and lay preachers, to whom we are able to offer tutors with special skills in different aspects of preaching who can contribute to training programs and events already planned seminars and workshops prepared and run by the College, tailored to meet specific learning needs We believe that... preaching is God's calling faithful preaching is vital to the life of the church and the sharing of the gospel preaching should be fresh, biblical and directly relevant to contemporary experience and events there are different ways of preaching and it is important to explore and develop them all preachers can learn from each other.

Little Yoga Studio aims to empower children and adults, in mind and body, through a fun, creative and inspiring approach to yoga. My children’s classes focus on exploring a child’s natural flexibility. Improving their own strength and poise, while helping them nurture a strong sense of self and awareness of others. The journey isn’t dissimilar with my adult classes. With each class, we work on bringing inner harmony through movement, breath and meditation. Uniting the body, mind and spirit to awaken our true Self. My teaching journey began shortly after the birth of my daughter. Having practiced yoga for 10 years, I found motherhood gave me a new perspective. Wanting to deepen my practice, I found myself taking to the mat in between my classes. And as I moved through poses or paused in meditation, I noticed her watching with curiosity. Before long she was on my mat, copying the poses and demanding more ‘mummy yoga.’ Soon she had her own mat (in her favourite colour, purple, of course) and we were practicing yoga together daily. Really I have her to thank for setting me on this path. As watching her little character flourish in our practices together has inspired me to share this with both little and bigger minds alike. My 200-hr training with Avani Yoga Academy and Yoga Bananas means I am now honoured to share the ancient practice of yoga in an authentic and heartfelt way to adults, children and families alike. Of course yoga is a lifelong journey that is forever evolving. I am honoured to continue my own discovery with a 50-hour Yoga Nidra Immersion with Avani Yoga Academy and Naomi Absalom’s 6-month Liberate mentorship, among others.
