My name is Fiona and I’m the owner, designer and maker behind Jewellery Moves. I have 20 years experience in the Jewellery Industry, a BA from Edinburgh College of Art and an MA from the Royal College of Art, London. Jewellery Moves began when I was living in Cyprus with my husband and 3 small boys. I’d previously trained and worked as a jeweller and despite moving around A LOT as a military wife, I always made sure that wherever we ended up I had my workbench and tools. Living by the sea had given me a vision of putting these tools to use by running jewellery workshops on the beach - I mean, who wouldn’t want to do that? And so Jewellery Moves was born! Most Saturdays you would find me teaching small groups whilst looking out onto the Med and interest grew. I then started to offer people the opportunity to host workshops in their own homes… Dining room tables were transformed into workbenches and groups of friends gathered for girls’ nights in and coffee mornings with a twist. It was amazing to see what could be created with a basic set of tools and some guidance; high-end silver jewellery that certainly didn’t look like it had been made at a dining room table (even though it had).

Alice Goldsack is a graduate of Queens Road Art College and trained at Diana Porters studio for more than eighteen years. Her avant-garde style is sought after by the artistic and alternative customers familiar to her studio in Bristol, UK. Her pieces often mix quirky individuality with pure artistic talent and are highly collectible. With over 25 years’ experience in gold and silver smithing and fine jewellery making, Alice’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and even commissioned for costume design by Netflix. As a jeweller, one of Alices passions is as an educator. Since 2006 she has been tutoring privately and through mixed classes in her own custom built workshop just off Stokes Croft in the heart of Bristol. Her classes come highly recommended and will take complete beginners through to experienced artists and teach them the many techniques required to craft beautiful pieces of jewellery. Alice is well known for her private commissions, and with her eye for the personal touch, has become increasingly popular with engaged couples. Not only for making bespoke engagement and wedding rings, but also for her private wedding ring courses tutoring a couple on making their partners rings. With traceability and accountability a priority, Alice can source gold with a Single Origin Hallmark ensuring that her work, and the materials she works with are of the very highest quality and ethical standards.

Studio Budgie Galore Ltd (also known as Sheffield Jewellery School) is run by Julie-Ann Weiss (Jules) and is based at Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet in Sheffield. A custom built jewellery and craft workshop providing a range of jewellery making courses and craft courses. The studio offers a range of silversmith courses, silver jewellery making classes and jewellery making courses including one day and weekend workshops, 8 week daytime and evening classes and birthday parties for all age ranges and abilities.

Hi, I'm Emma, I've been working in the jewellery trade for over 20 years now. I am absolutely crazy about all things jewellery. I love to wear it, to make it, to buy it, to sell it. I love old jewellery, new jewellery, vintage finds, minimal jewellery and downright fussy jewellery, mostly I am excited about handmade, unusual jewellery that has been designed with love and attention to detail. And yes, it was me on the telly! Find out about artisan jewellery maker, Emma and the inspiration behind her jewellery. My own work is inspired by texture, poetry, family, I love little details added or stamped on gold or silver and celebrating those we love and the people and places that make us tick. i am all about people and their stories and inspired by the tales that the jewellery we wear tells about us. I love working in silver and gold and also have ventured into the world of platinum on request. I make a lot of silver personalised bangles, necklaces and bracelets. I make jewellery in my very lovely studio, around my young family. Yes, I am also a busy mum. I have 3 children under 11 and am also a step mum to 3 other wonderful people, life is fun in our house! I love to teach jewellery making, I run courses and classes from my studio in Sunny Bank Mills in Farsley, West Leeds. Everyone is welcome, complete beginners up to experienced makers, we are wheelchair accessible and our classes are fun and exciting. You can learn from me and my small team how to make your very own jewellery. We run weekend workshops, and also weekly classes, sold in blocks. We can also cater for private parties of up to 16 people.
