Lavender International is a global brand for Non-destructive Testing (NDT) Training, Examination and Consultancy Services. Established in Sheffield, UK in 1976, we have developed a strong reputation amongst our varied and loyal customer base. Our highly experienced technical staff are supported by a knowledgeable business services department who work with our customers to ensure that the most appropriate course is followed. We are accredited by major NDT organisations, to provide Training and Examinations suitable for internationally recognised central and employer based certification schemes. We provide Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 programmes for PCN (BS En ISO 9712:2012), EN4179, NAS410 and SNT-TC-1A employer based programmes. We run training programmes from our headquarters in Penistone and at the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Sheffield, UK. We have offices in Houston, Texas USA and support programmes in Greece, South Africa, Canada and the UK. We also offer Accelerated Work Experience Programmes for candidates who need the necessary work experience for certification. We are also working in collaboration with UK colleges to support the delivery of two types of NDT Apprenticeships: the NDT Operator and the NDT Technician. Lavender International has been an Employee Owned Business since 2015 and this means that every single one of us here at Lavenders is a co-owner and is equally motivated to safeguard the future of the organisation, by ensuring that the students we train have the best experience, the companies we work with have optimum support and that everything we do is delivered by quality staff who actually own the company. The Adab Trust was set up in 2007 to facilitate improved employment outcomes for students from challenging backgrounds. Since inception, the Trust has worked with six universities and supported over 7,000 undergraduates and recent graduates. Our inaugural programme was the 'Leadership by Example Programme'. This involved high calibre graduates from ethnic minority backgrounds - particularly from modern universities – being put through a six stage employer-led training and selection programme. The selection programme was delivered by one of UK's leading executive search agencies - Odgers & Berndtson – alongside the market leader in psychometric testing - SHL group. Successful candidates were then marketed to employers and in our first year of operation, 45 candidates secured graduate level roles. From delivering our inaugural programme, we discovered that the principal barrier to most graduates being able to secure their desired jobs; was that they often lacked the soft skills employers sought. To address this, we developed our current programme - the very successful 'Employers in Higher Education (EHE) Programme'. The Employers in Higher Education (EHE) Programme: This programme aims to create a strong connection between education and employers. This is done by bringing employers onto campuses to deliver a range of creative and innovative training sessions to young people.
