Grampian Tutoring Ltd was founded in 2012 because sometimes the classroom does not provide enough to fulfil the educational capabilities of many students. Due to the fact the company was founded by a full-time secondary school teacher, living and working in the Aberdeen City/Aberdeenshire area, there is a crucial awareness of the need for additional support for many beyond what is offered by the UK education system. What We Do Grampian Tutoring Ltd strives to be an accessible and supportive addition to secondary education in the Aberdeen City/Aberdeenshire area. With an ever-growing team of experienced tutors, including fully qualified and practising teachers, Grampian Tutoring Ltd are proud to offer one-on-one tuition to secondary school students in a range of subjects.  Easter Revision Each year Grampian Tutoring Ltd also provides a two-week long Easter School during the Easter break which provides courses, in blocks of one or two days, to support students in the last few weeks before their exams. These courses are comprehensive recaps, with a focus on exam skills. Each tutor has their unique teaching style, but question practice and recapping the core elements of each course are guaranteed and have proven to be very useful for students as a means of supervised and driven revision.

In 2013 Abbie Chadd and Russell Tomlin were working together within the Sixth form sector. Both frustrated by the poor level of external tuition students were receiving they set about creating high quality Easter revision courses for students in London and Surrey to access. The courses were a huge success and due to the incredible feedback received, the company expanded quickly to offer further subjects.

Monument Dance Centre was founded as ‘Monument Ballet School’ by Louise Murray in 1983. The school started out with classes in local community centres however within a few years the need for a permanent premises became apparent. Easter Cornton Farmhouse became the new home of Monument Ballet School which is now known as Monument Dance Centre. We offer classes from as young as 18 months for our Baby Boppers with progression into Mini Movers and Graded classes. There is no upper age limit at Monument Dance Centre and you can join us for Adult classes in Ballet, Tap and Jazz. You can find out more about the classes we have available here.

we began meeting twice a month - our main meeting on the fourth Tuesday with a speaker, demo or activity, and 'Alternative Tuesdays' on the second Tuesday every month - these are some times "craft & chat" sessions (bring your own craft) or sometimes we arrange an activity. We usually meet at the URC Hall on Duke Street, just off the foot of Leith Walk and Easter Road. We sometimes go to other venues for specific events.

Founded in London in 1973 by three Cambridge University graduates, the MPW Group is one of the best known and well respected independent college brands in the UK. It comprises three fifth- and sixth-form colleges in London, Birmingham and Cambridge, providing highly attractive and modern learning environments located in close proximity to prestigious university campuses. MPW teaches 1,200 students on roll each year, of which approximately two thirds are British, one third international. The National Youth Concert Band was founded to nurture talented young woodwind, brass and percussion players of all backgrounds from across the UK, and as a flagship for promoting the wind band and its vibrant and varied repertoire. Founded by Jonathan Parkes, Kathryn Wood and Jonathan Watkins in 2018, our first course was held during Easter 2019 at the Old Swinford Hospital school in Stourbridge. The annual residential course is open to musicians aged 12-18 with a minimum of Grade 7 standard and concerts are held in venues around the country.

Now in our third year, we run workshops for students aged 10-15rs during summer and Easter holidays. Starting from scratch on the first day, by the end of the week, we’ve written, acted, directed, sound recorded and made the props for a short film. Each summer we show that year’s student films at the Rio Cinema in Dalston. Have a look at our showreel. Full films are in the gallery below. It’s really important to us that students guide the films. In practice, this means we end up making sci-fi, magic, horror, spy and action films. We try to keep them to a Dr Who level of scariness.
