Refuge4Pets provides a specialist Animal Fostering Service across Devon and Cornwall to victim-survivors of domestic abuse so that they can leave with their much-loved animals. Often individuals and families escaping domestic abuse are unable to take their animals with them, as most temporary accommodation does not allow pets. In many cases, this will stop people from leaving. As well as our animal fostering service we provide an Outreach Service to support victim-survivors to settle in new communities and recover from the abuse that they have experienced. We also provide Training & Resources to a wide range of professionals to help them to understand the link between domestic abuse and animal abuse and how to promote the safety of all victim-survivors of domestic abuse – humans and animals.

Hey there, I’m Chris Hambly, a Business Consultant (a local lad to Cornwall) I’ve been helping local businesses flourish since 1999. I live in Falmouth with me Mrs and three kids, I’ve grown and sold my own businesses – so I understand you. I do this repeatedly with my time-tested bespoke marketing machine, it’s clockwork! Forget about all those crappy large organisations like Yell and Ad sellers, they just want your cash and then they forget you. Also forget those fancy “designers” who promise bells and whistles on a website that never ever get above page 3, which is a total waste of money – useless.

I was born in Ohio and grew up in a small farming village before qualifying as a teacher and moving to England in 2003. After getting married, my husband and I moved back to his hometown in Cornwall. Outside of the clinic, you can find me exploring the local beaches and coastal paths (with a coffee, of course). I decided to return to my passion for caring for others in the health and fitness industry (my original career path prior to teaching) after dealing with work-related stress and suffering from chronic pain following a severe back injury. As a result, I have a special interest in the connection between mental health and how we feel pain. My goal is to help as many people as possible who are coping with injuries, pain, and/or stress by providing soft tissue therapy, which combines massage, education, and rehabilitation to help you take control of your pain or injury. I qualified as a Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapist after studying with the Institute of Sport & Remedial Massage (ISRM) at The Massage Training School in Exmouth. I have treated a wide variety of injuries, chronic pain, and musculoskeletal pain both in my clinic and for a short period prior to COVID, for the Camborne Rugby Football Club while assisting the lead physio.

No matter your age archery is fun for young or old. Our friendly instructors are fully qualified with the Grand National Archery society/Archery GB. We offer our expert tuition in scenic surroundings on a nine acre site with heath, shrubs, trees and mown practice ranges. A variety of courses are available from one hour, two hour, half day or eight weeks. We endeavour to tailor your needs as an individual or group to the day, whether it be a medieval experience or range games. Whichever course you choose our commitment is for you to have fun, be satisfied and leave with a great sense of achievement. No experience necessary. We cater for individuals, families, and groups of up to 24 people. We supply the all equipment on the course you will need to get started and on longer courses you will get the opportunity to try a variety of traditional style world bows. A little rivalry can be included in you day if you wish, we can teach you a couple of both individual and group target games. You are sure to have fun!
