About Us Welcome to the Harvest Nursing Home Training Academy. The Nursing Home Training Academy is a division of Harvest Resources Limited, a training provider approved by Quality and Qualifications Ireland to offer QQI awards. We are Ireland’s foremost provider of leadership and management training for the nursing home sector. Our QQI Level 6 Leadership Programme is designed to meet the unique management and leadership challenges of people working in the nursing home sector. Accreditation for the programme is Level 6 from QQI who provide external examiners to ensure that our Leadership Programme is regulated and in-line with best practice. City Acting Intermediate has been prepared as a follow on from the beginner classes and focuses on scene work while keeping on working on physicality and voice. City Acting Character offers the opportunity to build a character and take a scene through the rehearsal process from beginning to end. City Acting Amateur Theatre is based on a chosen script. The weekly rehearsals culminate in a closed performance. Scottish BPOC Writers Network (SBWN) is an advocacy and professional development group for Scottish or Scotland-based writers and literary professionals who identify as BPOC (Black people, People of Colour).* Contact us Frequently Asked Questions Membership Membership is free and open to any BPOC* writer or literary professional who is Scottish and/or based in Scotland and participates in our online or venue-based events or spaces, or publishing or literary opportunities. Membership may be extended to BPOC writers or literary professionals based outwith Scotland on occasion. Commissioned artists will typically be from the BPOC and/or SBWN communities. SBWN may work with volunteers, partners and allies who identify as BPOC, or white, or another racial or ethnic identity. "When I was 13 I relocated from Leeds to London to take up a full time scholarship place at the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School, I received some of the best training and opportunities a young girl could wish for. After finishing school I was fortunate enough to be chosen for another full time scholarship place at Millennium Dance 2000 College for 3 years performing arts training. Even with all this incredible training I still look back fondly at the small performing arts school I attended one night a week in Leeds : Scala Kids. I owe a lot of my skills to the training I received there and would look forward to going to my classes every week without the pressure of taking exams or doing competitions. I was made to feel like part of the "Scala" family and felt free to be creative and express my talents. This is how I want the Theatre Skills Academy to be- a place where kids can come to be creative, build confidence, feel equal, learn new skills, improve their talents, and have FUN. All the teachers at TSA have vast experience as both a professional performer and teacher and have a lot of knowledge to offer the children. Every lesson will work on different theatrical skills, whether it be building confidence, improving co-ordination, developing facial expressions, or performance technique. Each term will finish with a presentation for family and friends to come and see how their budding little performers have developed.
