Sun Bear Yoga has a key focus on making yoga fun and accessible to all. In this funny old time we believe it's super important to take extra care of our kids and their families' emotional and physical health. Sun Bear Yoga combines yoga, play, fun, dance, drama, music, acro, storytelling, relaxation and mindfulness to nurture positive wellbeing and encourage community support and socialisation (team work- yay). Why is yoga good for kids? It improves concentration and co-ordination, develops body awareness, calms the racing mind and boosts self-esteem and inner confidence. Our mission is to create a space for some much needed time out, fun without distraction, giggles and to provide the opportunity for an emotional reset. We want to give kids and their families the tools to cope better with the daily stressors that come with modern family life. We believe in equality, inclusivity, tolerance, compassion and respect and these values form the foundations of our classes. All of our classes are completely secular and there will be no focus on religion. EVERYONE is welcome. We believe in spreading love and happiness to all. Kindness is our superpower! We offer classes for children 0-16y during term time and we run family yoga events out of term time. Right now our classes go up to 12y but as of September they will be available for 13-16y and we will also have dedicated classes for children with certain additional needs in Autumn 2021.

Kids love our after school clubs. Parents do too. At Trinity After School Club we are proud of the exciting and stimulating childcare we offer. We understand each child is different and that they want to get involved in different things. Every day there are planned arts and crafts activities, outdoor games, and quiet time for reading or to do homework. All the children get involved in planning the activities and outings at the after school clubs. They bring new ideas or develop initiatives suggested by the staff. The kids make sure we do interesting things and get involved in the community – from a tooth brushing project, writing a song and a performance on anti-bullying to building relationships with a local elderly residential care home. We make sure there is plenty of variety. Our experienced staff encourage an all-inclusive environment where consideration for others is paramount. Policies and procedures are in place to cover all aspects of childcare to reassure parents and guardians that we have their children's interests at heart. Flexibility of care is important to parents and guardians and we offer full-time (5 days per week) and part-time places (2, 3 or 4 days per week), and we operate a Crocodile Club for P1 and P2 children who finish earlier. We cover most holidays and in-service days and our team plan ahead with the children to offer a great range of holiday activities.

The team at Blade Education highly values lived experience as a central part of any successful project. We believe that the answers to many issues begin with valuing what members of any community can tell us about what they need for a successful outcome. Wherever possible, we hold lessons, sessions, and events outside. All ages and all kinds of people get involved in Blade Education projects. People have volunteered for us from the age of 8 to 103. From HMS Leigh, a community led heritage and arts project that connected people of all ages with the history of Southend Pier, also known as HMS Leigh, during WW2. Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Arts Council and Southend Borough Council, this project was created as part of the VE 75 celebrations in 2020 and survived to be one of the first post pandemic lockdown in person events in September 2021. Our latest project, Southend Safer Care Leavers has developed a free online information service for young people supporting the knowledge already given and ensuring they are ready to take charge of their own health care. Thanks to all our supporters and volunteers from a wide range of organisations and funders, Blade Education for nearly two decades has been able to offer wonderful learning experiences to thousands of children, families, and the general public. I am a mixed media textile artist based in Southsea. I have an interest in exploring narrative through textiles, using mixed media collage to create fabric books, art quilts and collections of themed illustrations. I am also interested in journaling and telling personal stories through collections of memories, data and photographs. My background is a combination of art and design practices - I studied Illustration at Kingston University before becoming a secondary school textiles teacher. I combine the two disciplines to create fabric artwork with an illustrative quality and narrative. For example I often use song lyrics and quotations as starting points, and text features in most of my artwork. Whilst studying illustration I specialised in creating whimsical collages from sketches and paper ephemera and I bring the same techniques to textiles, layering fabrics, stitch and embellishments to create mixed-media mini-quilts and fabric books. I love to work to a specific theme and take on long projects focusing on one topic. This might turn into a series of Illustrations (The World of Jane Austen), a fabric book (Into The Woods) or a single large piece built up over time (Lockdown Quilt). A lover of bright colours and bold prints, I draw inspiration from 1960s and 70s children’s books, psychedelic music posters and vintage textiles. I am very lucky to have a studio on the seafront in Old Portsmouth which is open to the public.

The aims of the ATC are to: Promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people Provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life Encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship We are not a recruiting organisation for the RAF but if you're thinking about a Service career, cadet membership will put you ahead of the competition. Many cadets go on to great success in the RAF. Around 40% of officers and 50% of all aircrew in the RAF now are ex-cadets. Research shows that they do better in basic training and stay in the Service longer than their colleagues. Likewise, if you chose a civilian career research proves you can go on the great things...employers just love the skills and experience that air cadets offer. The cadet structure is based on the rank structure used within the RAF, being promoted shows your leadership abilities and gives you more responsibilities. We also have a full training scheme that can lead to real qualifications, this is mainly geared towards aviation studies, but a full range of qualifications is available. About After studying illustration, Stacey Chapman worked as a designer of interiors for events and corporate launches. She began Freehand Machine Embroidery after viewing the process on Kirstie Allsopp’s Channel 4 show. In November 2013 she founded her business, Art Sea Craft Sea, creating pet portraits in thread, to commission. Her unique application of the freehand machine embroidery process and background as an illustrator, enables her to create strikingly life like thread paintings. Since then she has exhibited around the UK at events ranging from Crufts to Countryfile Live and Kirstie Allsopp's Handmade Fair. Stacey was proud to be taken under the wing of Janome in 2016 and has taught workshops at their custom built sewing school at their HQ in Stockport. Chapman has gone on to teach creative sewing workshops around the country from regular sessions at John Lewis in Oxford Street to her hometown of Margate, Kent. For these sessions at the luxe Sands Hotel, Stacey was nominated for a Tourism and Hospitality Award in 2019 as well as being shortlisted for the National Needlecraft Awards in the same year. In 2020 started teaching online for the prestigious teaching college for the W.I., Denman at Home. As well as writing her monthly column for the UK's best selling sewing magazine, Love Sewing, Stacey still creates and exhibits in local galleries with her vintage style portraiture and fashion Illustrations featuring up cycled retro fabrics, revisiting a technique she began at school.
