I was first introduced to dowsing while completing my Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship at GEC Machines in Rugby, Warwickshire. One of the placements was within the Electrical Maintenance Department where my supervisor was kind enough to spend some time showing me how to rod dowse. He gave me a set he had made himself. Very soon after this my sister taught me how to dowse with a pendulum and work with food supplements and the Schuessler Tissue Salts. She also helped me to improve my diet and cookery skills. We both used cheerful glass beads and brightly colored yarn for our pendulums. Soon after my first child was born I realized that he was following a similar pattern of health to me and within a few months I was given the contact telephone number for Mrs H. Lucie Bidie by a good friend David Kerruish who still has a Wholefood Shop in Rugby. Lucie Bidie put me in touch with one of her students from her who treated our little family. I was quickly asking for more information and wanted to extend my dowsing skills beyond working with the vitamin and mineral supplements. I began training with Lucie Bidie in 1987 and continued to work with her until shortly before her death in 2002. Lucie and her husband Stewart were both instrumental in the founding of the Radionic Association, both financially and on committee. They were trained by the De La Warrs and had Radionic analysis and treatment instruments made by the De La Warr Laboratories. Lucie taught students via the School of Radionics but as her findings and techniques changed from the school's protocols this became more and more tricky. Around 2000 I was blessed with meeting 2 people who stretched my concepts of the analysis and treatment of clients. I realized I had become quite rigid in my thinking. They were Barbara Garratt and Chris Bacon. Conversations are divergent and energizing. I have been distance healing for over 25 years which is very rewarding. I also get so much satisfaction from guiding people to be dowsing at their highest level, while achieving confidence in their accuracy and results.

My name is Jonah Hughes. I made my first blade (straight razor) when I was around 16 years old. I was fascinated by it by just kept it as a hobby. I completed a degree in mechatronics engineering whilst keeping tinkering on the side. After I graduated, I decided to pursue my calling and see where it would take me. This is where I have ended up, so please join part of my journey, one custom made product at a time.  High Quality, Ethically Sourced Materials  Your Satisfaction is Guaranteed  Honest Prices  Multi-skilled craftsman MY STORY I have been making and tinkering since 16 y.o Workshop 15 started out as a small garage workshop at 15 Holland Avenue. This is where I grew up. The garage was around about 10m^2, as well as holding the boiler plus storage for miscellaneous homeware. The first knife I made was using a hole in the ground and a hairdryer to heat up some coals so that I could blacksmith an old file. After this I was hooked. I made small knives as procrastination for exams, and was soon progressing to kitchen knives. A while passed of doing much the same whilst at university, until I decided to leave my masters year to pursue this, and I haven’t looked back. The workshop has moved to a larger location at my grandparents house, and I now call myself a full time craftsman The Logo As soon as I was of age, I got my first tattoo in a relatively concealed place. It is in an ancient script called Elder Futhark as I wanted the meaning of it to be just for me. I decided that this language would perfect for the logo – spelling out WS.15 for Workshop 15 My Vision My version of success isn’t to have lots of money, or a nice house or car. This is reflected in my work, which I do purely from passion and love of the craft. For this reason, I am able to do projects that others may find not profitable enough or too challenging, because I am living for my work rather than working to live.

Early Years is the largest organisation in Northern Ireland working with and for young children. We are a non-profit making organisation and have been working since 1965 to promote high quality childcare for children aged 0 - 18 and their families. Early Years is a membership-based organisation, a registered charity, a company limited by guarantee and is governed by a Board of Directors. On 1st November 2007 we changed our name to Early Years - the organisation for young children. When we started our work in 1965 NIPPA stood for Northern Ireland Pre-School Playgroup Association, but as our work developed we realised that this did not fully reflect all that we do so we changed our name to NIPPA - the early years organisation. In 2005 we realised that our work had moved on again and after consultation with members and stakeholders we voted to change our name to Early Years - the organisation for young children. Currently Early Years provides information and training for parents, childcare providers, employers and local authorities.

I passed my driving test at 17. A first time pass. I loved the freedom, independence and exhilaration of driving. To become a DOE approved driving instructor in Belfast you need to have held a clean driving licence for 4 years and pass three D.O.E. approved tests; a theory, a practical driving test and a teaching test. Exactly four years after I passed my driving test I applied to do these tests and passed all three first time. When I set up my driving school I wanted the learners’ journey from raw beginner to successfully passing their driving test to be as easy an experience as possible, so I called my driving school Easydrive. What do you like about your line of work? I enjoy being a driving instructor because you are out and about meeting interesting people everyday. I have taught thousands of people over the last 25 years. Interestingly, people I taught from when I first started are recommending me to their sons and daughters, it’s very gratifying to think that generations of local people appreciate that I did a good job of teaching themto drive safely. It definitely creates great job satisfaction. How many hours a week do you work and what’s your busiest time of the year? I work the normal working week of 35 hours. Busiest time would be from spring to autumn. What makes a customer a satisfied customer? I teach in an easy step-by-step approach building one skill upon another. A satisfied customer is one who can see their improvement with each lesson, giving them confidence of a successful test result. What is the best piece of business advice you were ever given? Success happens when preparation meets opportunity. With Easydrive I make sure all my learners are 100 per cent prepared to face the challenges of the modern driving test, which is more demanding than tests set in previous years. This gives them their best opportunity of success.

It’s been more than 15 years since Kedleston was “born”. Developed by Paul Brosnan and Tony Hurran, the vision was simple; to provide high quality schooling and care environments for the children the traditional system does not work for. Our early ethos (which continues today) was one of mutual collaboration and hard work between staff, pupils and other stakeholders. We began by acquiring a majority stake-holding at Wings School Cumbria where Paul and Tony worked with the team there to substantially improve the facilities. This included developing a state-of-the-art gymnasium to nurture the considerable talents of the school’s many very able sportsmen and sportswomen - as it continues to do today. As demand for the quality services provided by Kedleston grew, so did our group. We now have 17 schools and homes across England, some of which were developed as completely new bespoke provisions. Others were acquired by the group as early-stage developments from founders who shared the same ethos.
