Cobra Foundation is an independent charity, founded in 2005 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of Cobra Beer Ltd. Registered in the United Kingdom, our mission is to provide health, education and community support for young people in South Asia, especially through the provision of safe water. Our charitable objectives include giving help with Disaster Relief in the Region. It is certain that natural or man-made disasters will strike in the future and we will again play our part. The logo of Cobra Foundation is a mother elephant with her offspring and it reminds us never to forget those in need.

Twyford and Finchampstead Parish Councils have been individually preparing these documents with input from their communities over the past few years. If they're adopted, they'll sit alongside our own policies to guide planning decisions in these areas. Before this can happen, each has to independently examined and then, as long as the examiner agrees, put to a referendum. Each neighbourhood plan proposes a vision for managing future growth within its parish, as well as policies which reflect the priorities of their communities. Your comments matter as they will show whether you and others in the area agree with these ideas. The examiner will scrutinise the plans based on national requirements and can recommend changes, so it's important that we know now whether you would like to see amendments. Maggi and Sarah created two projects to engage teenagers during the summer holidays, encouraging creativity and the development of new skills. The pack included a hard-backed sketchbook with a workbook of suggested art based activities, also Derwent Arts kindly donated some drawing equipment. The second project included a fully illustrated instruction booklet, coordinated fabrics, ribbons, needles and threads to create a decorative length of bunting, which could be customised with applique lettering or imagery. The scope of these projects could reach beyond the original pack and the summer holiday period, inspiring children to consider further individual projects. The quality of the pack and its learning materials encourages young people to work independently and the workbooks encouraged recipients to explore their own personal projects. The packs also contain Crafts Council project ideas to inspire children and teenagers, and support material for those who may wish to embark on the Arts Awards scheme. ‘Recreate Make’ intend to develop an Arts Award offering in the near future. With the help of the West Cumbria Learning Centre, Maggi and Sarah were able to distribute projects to 38 young people across West Cumbria who it was felt would find them beneficial. We gave the packs out during the summer holiday of 2021 to help additional homeschooling ideas for the arts. They were given to children from Wigton to Whitehaven, the majority centred around the Workington area.
