Hello and welcome to GH Learning Centre, a Training Centre for Dental Nurses. At GH Learning Centre we academically transform students into professional dental nurses. The whole team including the admin staff is qualified in the dental field. Our lecturers and Internal Quality Assurers have vast experience in the field and some are examiners for the National Examination Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN). We thrive to improve the British dental system through training and releasing qualified and committed professionals into the field of dental services. Our Philosophy The Training Centre takes pride in fostering a sense of determination and professionalism in our students. We achieve this by promoting excellence, integrity and honesty which we believe goes far beyond the classroom. We recognise the need to focus on each student as an individual in order to bring out the best in them. Our History The Training Centre was founded in January 2014 with a vision to provide a wide spectrum of dental professionals. The Centre is growing from strength to strength and now has 2 Centres in Wembley and Southall. Learning environment We have face to face classes at the Training Centre, online classes as well as blended classes. Sessions are carried out in a relaxed environment and are tutor led so you have an opportunity to ask questions and take part in group discussions and interact with other students. If you miss a session, do not worry, sessions are recorded so you can always catch up later. On completion of the syllabus, thorough revision classes are carried out in preparation for the exam. Universal Yoga started in 2004 when Charlotta completed her Teacher Training Certificate and moved into the village, initially we ran classes at the Conygre Hall and the Congregational Church Halls in Timsbury, only in 2008 did we get a space of our own at Red Hill, soon outgrown, we decided to move to Dunkerton Hall, a beautiful little parish hall which we get to have all to ourselves. Universal Yoga, as the name implies is a centre for everyone, young and old, pregnant and babies. We are all from the Sivananda lineage and we strongly believe in the yoga of synthesis, meaning that each class should be a combination of postures, relaxation, breathing exercises and sometimes meditation. Both Charlotta and Becky are Senior Yoga Teachers and as such, run a Teacher Training course every year. We believe that nothing should stand between you and your yoga class, so if there are any financial concerns, please get in-touch to see if we can help in some way. Yoga means union, union of body and mind, union of you and me and union of us all with the planet. I thought I would share a few things about myself, to help you get to know me before we work together: I have come to coaching, counselling and mindfulness training via a long career in Human Resources, in which I worked my way up to HR Director level. I have personal experience of the pressures, and joys, of a senior business role, and have worked as colleague, HR support and coach to some high performing board, executive and senior management teams. I restrict the number of clients I work with so I can always be at my best for them - and I don't work with everyone, only those who are really committed to making the changes they want. I have a dog and a cat (they don't participate in coaching sessions)! I do mindfulness meditation for around 10 minutes most days (sometimes longer, sometimes not at all) - every little helps, and even a little makes a big difference to improving focus, performance, stress management... My favourite cocktail is an Old Fashioned. I have a strong interest in psychology and neuroscience - particularly focussed on how we can get our minds to work their best and how we can be happy. I have my own coach - because having a coach is great! Hall Farm Eastoft has been farmed by the Coulman family for some 150 years or more and over time the land has produced a wide range of arable crops and been home to cattle, pigs, chickens and more recently alpacas. Extending to around 235 hectares (575 acres) of land the farm grow wheat, oilseed rape, sugar beet, potatoes and grass, as well as maintaining an extensive environmental scheme to enhance the natural habitat. It is important to us to farm to the highest environmental, sustainable and welfare standards which means we subscribe to a range of key industry standards and generate much of our energy and resources from sustainable sources. As members of Red Tractor Assurance schemes for both crop production and our pig production, as well as Freedom Food, British Quality Pork and Global Animal Partnership schemes for our pigs, we ensure that all our produce meets high production standards and enters the food chain. We generate all our power from our Solar PV system, powering lights, feed systems, grain driers and our vehicles and use a Biomass boiler to provide heat. In addition, around 90% of our water use is either borehole sourced or from rainwater harvesting ensuring we minimise our use of mains, treated water and rely on naturally produced water. The farm has hosted educational visits for many years, supported by Natural England’s environmental schemes, and has developed this educational support since 2017 into a social farm engaging with young people and adults, empowering them to develop skills to enrich their learning, wellbeing and social life. With our focus on sustainable, environmentally friendly farming coupled with our increasing community of social farmers, here at Hall Farm Eastoft we aim to provide a community farming operation benefiting the environment and the local community.
