With qualifications including MSc in S&C and British weightlifting level 1, my journey in fitness has not been via a so-called “normal” path. While I have always been involved in sport from a young age – being part of a football academy throughout my childhood and also playing semi-professional football as a teenager and into my adult years – it was a back injury that put me on the path I’m walking today. After various injections and finally a pretty big operation on my back, I found myself desperate to get back into shape. During this process I made the decision to quit my full time job as an admin assistant manager and study for my MSc in Strength and Conditioning – a decision which ultimately led me to where I am today. Many people will call me a personal trainer (PT) but I see myself more as a coach. I’m here to help coach people into making better lifestyle choices with regards to food, training and general lifestyle choices. I’m also here to educate my clients on how best to work out and explain the benefits all of these better choices make. Your fitness journey doesn’t have to be three killer workouts followed by chicken and broccoli every day. Nor is it my mission to push you so far in the gym that you’re throwing up. My job is to show you how you can enjoy your journey and more importantly sustain the changes you’ve made.

I’m Sarah, founder and teacher at CRAFT. I opened CRAFT in February 2020, it’s been a dream for sometime to have a space to be able to teach a subject I love so much. I started sewing as a young girl, sewing together scraps of fabric from my mums fabric box, altering clothes and creating new ones. I’ve always been something I have always enjoyed. I graduated with a first class honours degree in Education in 2009. After graduating I took up a teaching post in a secondary school, specialising in textiles and food technology. After having my first child in 2012 I decided not to return to the classroom and started a business making and selling children’s wear from home. When my second daughter arrived in 2016 I decided to start teaching again. I taught in the workshop room at the back of Annie’s fabric shop most weekends. Workshops became popular and from that CRAFT was born. I wanted to create a space that could be used to teach sewing workshops but also could work with other creative areas. I hope that when people visit CRAFT they feel relaxed and enjoy spending time in the workshop space. I really love teaching here. I love sharing my knowledge, my top tips and my expertise. My aim is to give my students confidence and to share my love and passion of sewing. I want everyone to leave feeling excited to start their next sewing project .

Started in 2000, the charity has worked with over 150,000 children, young people and families across London, many of whom may have severe physical and learning disabilities, behavioural problems or been excluded from mainstream education. Update: We are no longer operating Dear KCS Parents/Carers and Supporters It is with great sadness that we write to advise you, that we are having to give up our KCS Head Quarters here in London, Acton. There are several reasons that have influenced, this decision. The primary reason is due to the Corona virus pandemic, the charity has really struggled over the past 2 years and the various lock-downs have just compounded the problems, with The Kids Cookery School and the charity sector in general. There are several other issues that we won’t bore you with which, basically makes the premises not fit for purpose anymore. The Charity will NOT continue to operate in the previously leased premises (KCS HQ) or as a Mobile POP-UP Kitchen. Therefore, we will NOT be taking any cookery sessions for the foreseeable future

READ MORE Entertainment & Leisure After years of working with the elderly, we have the necessary experience and are aware of their needs. CNG has decided to organise Lunch Club to entertain the elderly with traditional Iranian music and board games allowing them to interact with many others. We also supply them with Iranian cuisine. READ MORE Education For CNG the education of our youth and future generation is very important. CNG has a supplementary school where it focuses on teaching Farsi. The students are able to attend the extra-curriculum activities which take place after Farsi lesson. This includes Maths & English to enrich and support the students also Art, Crafts & Dance. READ MORE Support Due to covid-19 pandemic there has been a huge demand among the elderly, disabled and low-income clients for living essentials. CNG has been able to hand out food and supplies to many people. These people were not able to leave their homes for months due to the fright of COVID-19 and we believed it was our duty to help them.

EuCAN is a Community Interest Company (CIC) working in the UK and other countries of Europe to involve more people and communities in the conservation management of their local environment, by providing training and practical experience for young graduates, potential volunteers and therapeutic groups, in nature conservation and in sustainable land management and food production enterprises. EuCAN CIC started life in 2007 as the European Conservation Action Network, a project linked to The Kingcombe Centre in west Dorset, and funded entirely by the Leonardo da Vinci strand of the EU Lifelong Learning Programme. Since 2007, The European Conservation Action Network has set up 23 different two-week placements and enabled nearly 300 volunteers to visit 11 partner organisations in the EU. In 2011, when The Kingcombe Trust was wound up, EuCAN became established as an independent Community Interest Company through which, in addition to promoting placements with our other EU partners, we have organised several conservation projects in Dorset and Somerset, are undertaking an increasing number of habitat management contracts using professionals and trainees working together, and have run training courses each year in botanical and lepidoptera identification and ecology, bumblebee conservation and id and other subjects. The CIC now acts as a hub for the wide network of volunteers, organisations and other contacts that EuCAN has cultivated since 2007. She has taught day courses for nannies and au pairs which include recipes for special diets e.g. gluten/vegan/dairy free recipes, and she can inform about the nutritional needs of children and how to deal with fussy eaters. The courses are also very useful for gap year students or for those wanting to cook in chalets for skiing holidays, and include information about food hygiene and nutrition. The courses can be very specific if desired, e.g. just about pastry making, vegetarian cookery, patisserie, sauces or bread making.
