We are part of the membership organisation and our primary focus is to support and serve our members active in the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, control and management of engineering systems and services in buildings. We support our members and the industry through providing training, short courses, CPD, apprenticeships, end point assessments and experienced worker programme, giving individuals and employers the skills and technical competency to carry out work compliantly and safely. We work with our members and the industry to develop a suite of new apprenticeship standards to replace the now defunct frameworks in England - for the industry by the industry. We have developed a short course provision through our UK wide approved training centres and continue to work with a national network of colleges, training providers and manufacturers to deliver a revolutionary approach to blended learning. Our online learning platform was developed with the training needs of our industry at heart. When the global pandemic hit, we knew we had to come up with a solution which allowed our members, employers and apprentices to access high quality training, to ensure they were equipped with the skills and qualifications required to do their job. We are the learning solution that allows individuals to develop their skills, further their career and puts them in the driving seat of their success.

Grayson Education was founded in 2013 with the aim of offering Chinese students the opportunity to access British Education. We set our base in the coastal city of Dalian and launched our first project within this city: a summer school course for Chinese students between the ages of 10-18. The two week programme was held at the prestigious Ardingly College in England, and consisted of intensive English classes and excursions to Oxford, Cambridge and the thrilling Thorpe Park. Due to the excellent marketing management, the programme was a resounding success, attracting more than 30 students. Alongside organizing summer school programmes, Grayson Education also provides an exclusive school placement service. Through working with our partners in both England and China, 2014 alone, has seen Grayson Education place students at some of the finest Independent schools in Britain. A partnership between Grayson Education and Siven Group. At Grayson, we understand that most students will require additional English language tuition beyond what is taught within schools throughout China before embarking on studies in England. Therefore, Grayson Education has begun working closely with Siven Learning Centre, in order to provide students with specialized English Language tuition, taught by qualified British teachers and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) holders. This will ensure that students are prepared for the high academic standards expected by independent schools throughout Britain

From its origins in 1992, when the local housing association at that time allocated a tenement house to a group of residents who were keen to participate in the arts, Drumchapel Arts Workshop, (DRAW) has continued to hold a valued and valuable place in the local and wider community. Since those early days many developments and positive partnerships have evolved, and from our milestone achievement of obtaining charitable status in 2010, our recently established venue on the ground floor of a block of high rise flats offers an informal workplace in which those from the local community and beyond can express their creative potential. Originally DRAW was encouraged to seek funding through Urban Aid, and we are currently funded through GCC from an Integrated Grant Fund. Over the years a dedicated committee has worked to ensure a wide variety of interesting and successful programmes and projects are available to participants. The many statutory organisations and agencies with whom we have worked, including the NHS, occupational therapists, Momentum, Right Track and Careers Scotland continue to help us to open access to the arts and to widen the horizons of those who participate in the project. The sense of wellbeing, confidence and social integration which evolves from appreciating and sharing our cultural wealth is frequently acknowledged by our participants and we welcome and enjoy a diverse clientele.

It is my pleasure to be the Headteacher at Chelmer Valley High School. I am passionate about education and have been since joining the profession 30 years ago. Children deserve the very best education we can offer and ‘to be the very best’, is the underlying theme in all we aspire to do. I have worked in a number of schools as a senior leader and my previous post was also that of Headteacher. I have been fortunate through my career to work in a variety of settings from Inner City to a range of overseas posts in which I had the absolute privilege of being part of setting up a brand new British based school. I am very proud that visitors regularly comment on our ethos, the conduct and very positive attitude to learning of the students. The staff are superb and completely committed to supporting all the students in both their academic and social development. I have had the pleasure of working closely with our Primary partner schools enabling students to make the transition to Chelmer in a seamless manner. We are rich in a research culture and the effective sharing of good practice both within the school and across other schools.
