Swindon

Best Driving Courses of Swindon are one of the UK's intensive driving courses specialists, successfully helping people pass their driving test with our carefully structured intensive courses. Our unique residential courses give learner drivers the opportunity to focus on their driving course and pass their test within a much shorter time than would otherwise be possible. Courses are normally available four weeks ahead, although students who can offer flexibility on their start date can sometimes find an earlier start, often as soon as next week. Call us on 07912 447089 to ask about earlier driving course start dates. Many students from across the UK decide to take their course on a residential basis. These courses are arranged from our Swindon centre in Wiltshire. Residential students are collected daily from their accommodation by their instructor. The success students achieve with our intensive courses has always been down to the hard work of our fully qualified DVSA approved driving instructors. We get to know learner drivers, their needs and how to prepare for the practical driving test. This enables students to be ready to pass the driving test within 7 days or less. As a sister company to driving-course.co.uk, we pride ourselves on our 35 year history of helping literally thousands of drivers to pass their test quickly and efficiently. Best Driving Courses also follows all current government guidelines and regulations regarding Covid. We welcome emails and phone calls and will always treat your requirements and questions with respect.

Carers Count is a not for profit organisation that supports unpaid carers within Kirklees. We are managed by and operate under the Cloverleaf Advocacy umbrella and work closely with a wide range of professional health and care services, Kirklees Council, charities and community groups to provide support for unpaid carers. Carers Count works with carers who are aged 18 and over and give their time to someone with a physical disability, long-term illness, an older person, a child with additional needs, a learning disability and/or a mental health issue (including dementia). We are also able to provide assistance to someone even after they cease caring for whatever reason. Our dedicated team is on hand to offer advice, information, advocacy, support groups and activities for unpaid carers across Kirklees. We are experts in our fields and cover everything related to an unpaid carers role from benefits advice, raising awareness for carers, meditation sessions and wellbeing support, to understanding your rights as a carer. Everyone in the Carers Count team is hugely committed to supporting carers in whichever ways we can and it's our mission to raise awareness of carer issues - working in partnership with carers and on their behalf when they feel their voice is not being heard. Thank you for the support I have taken from my involvement with Carers Count and the courses I have taken with you over the years. What you do is so needed by carers and I never felt totally alone in all these years.

Working with the materials available in our surrounding countryside to produce unique and beautiful things and simultaneously provide value and management incentives to improve our precious local woodlands. Having graduated with an Honours Degree in Aerospace Engineering of all things Alasdair eventually found himself working in South London as an Elevator Engineer. This highly unsuitable lifestyle resulted in a three year VSO teaching placement in Ghana, where Alasdair found the inspiration he was looking for and returned to the UK to study for an MSc. in Environmental Forestry in Bangor, North Wales. After a brief stint working for the University, and determined never to work indoors again, Alasdair secured a Woodland Rangers post with the National Trust and spent the next ten years caring for and working with coastal native woodland and parkland in Gwynedd and Anglesey. During this time he discovered that engineering, teaching and a passion for woods and wood work were the ideal ingredients for his own venture. When the chance arose to move with his young family to South Devon, Little Acorn Furniture was born. In addition to furniture making and greenwood courses, Alasdair operates Little Acorn Forestry providing a range of forestry and conservation services from management planning to tree felling, planting and invasive species control. This often provides a sustainable source of local material for Little Acorn Furniture and the two elements provide an environmentally beneficial service quite literally from tree to table, or chair or whatever else it is you may require.

We started making soap for our family when our daughter developed a mild form of eczema that was made worse by commercially-produced soaps and washes. We spent months researching, and tried out loads of different recipes and combinations to find the ones that work for our daughter’s skin – and for us too. We settled on a combination of high quality ingredients, unfussy essential oil blends, and a slow soap-making process that is as close to the ancient traditional methods as possible. There’s nothing else added: no preservatives, no colourants, no fragrances and no additional heat to speed things up. The best things take time, and proper soap is worth waiting for. What started out as a necessity and family hobby quickly grew into a mini production line in our kitchen as friends and family started coming back for more. When they began “pre-ordering” before batches had cured, we knew we’d hit onto something special that we couldn’t keep to ourselves anymore. Since then we’ve had our soap recipes certified and we have introduced new combinations specifically targeted at problematic skin and household application. Our soaps are available through all of our amazing stockists across Europe, and are also available to buy online via our etsy store. We are working hard to turn our greatest dream into a reality, and we are so honoured to be able to share our soaps with you both online and in-store in our own little bricks and mortar shop in Westcliff-on-Sea.
