I’m a movement specialist and I’ve taught Feldenkrais since completing my training in Amsterdam in 2008. I’m passionate about helping people feel as free as possible in their bodies. Whether you’ve noticed your mobility has started to decline or you’re encountering challenges from injury or other issues, I’d like to help. I’ve helped many people to continue the activities they’re passionate about, whether its running, sport, dance or simply playing with grandchildren. These things form a huge part of our happiness and identity. I practise in Chichester, West Sussex and online (thanks to a recent push from Covid 19). I relocated here from a thriving London practice in 2019 after starting a family. My background is in contemporary dance and I guest lecture at Trinity Laban, London College of Music and several UK universities. Enriching lives through learningCraven College – a Further Education College based in Skipton, North Yorkshire, “The Gateway to the Dales”. Our unique position – at the juncture of West Yorkshire and East Lancashire enables us to offer a variety of further and higher education courses, including apprenticeships, undergraduate degrees and part-time adult education. Craven College started life in 1825 as the Skipton Mechanics Institute on the High Street in Skipton. During the Second World War the Skipton Art School and Skipton Technical Institute were established. In 1954 the Skipton Art School and Technical Institution become the Craven Institute for Further Education. In 1974, the College was renamed the Craven College of Adult Education and the full-time courses flourished mainly leading to secretarial work, hospitality and catering, social work and small business management. The Aireville Campus was developed in 1989 adjoining Aireville School (now The Skipton Academy). The Auction Mart Campus was later developed to accommodate all land-based courses and The Aviation Academy was established in Yeadon at Leeds Bradford Airport. Tyro Training was established in 2003 offering flexible training, consultancy and support to business across the North of England. With its HQ at Craven Cattle Mart in Skipton, Tyro Training also has a training base in Scarborough. The Animal Management Centre was opened for students in 2018 with specialist rooms for aquatics, invertebrates, nocturnals, reptiles, amphibians and small mammals. From its premises in Ripon, Evolve supports young people from across North Yorkshire with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and offers full Study Programmes, with a focus on work experience and skills for employment. In 2020, Craven College became an integral part of the Yorkshire and Humber Institute of Technology – representing significant investment in training resources on the Skipton campus to support education in digital skills such as cyber-security, digital infrastructure, multi-media, software development and gaming.

EMMA BROUGHTON I am a Wiltshire-based RSN trained Embroidery Tutor, Author, Artist and fabric designer with expertise in hand embroidery, fabric dyeing, screen printing, and digital fabric design. I am a graduate of both the Royal School of Needlework Apprenticeship (2009) and the University of the Creative Arts (2012). In 2019 my book 'Embroidered Boxes: Techniques and Projects' was published by Crowood Press. My passion is creating unique designs for embroidered boxes and specialist embroidery kits.  I sell and teach my design online and in person classes independently, for the Royal school of Needlework and the Embroiderers' Guild of America under the name Fairy Wren Embroidery. In 2023 I was given the honour of being awarded a Developing your Creative Practice Grant by the Arts Council England to fund a Blackwork Portrait project which I am extremely passionate about. I have recently been accepted as a RSN Fellow, which is the school's new professional association for tutors and other alumni to celebrate their commitment, skill and passion for embroidery.

Whatever your background, experience, ability or fitness level, we can help you to move better and feel better (and to have fun in the process!) Whether your goals include improved mobility for everyday activities, management of current injuries, pain reduction, improved posture / balance, increased strength / flexibility, or improved sports performance at elite level, we will help you to make the best of your body. We offer group mat classes (up to 10 people on mats) and group equipment classes (up to 4 people on the Pilates apparatus - reformers, cadillacs, stability chairs, and barrels). If you prefer a more personalised approach we can teach you on a one-to-one (or two-to-one) basis, to focus more specifically on your individual needs. Corporate class are available too - we can offer short standing classes, or "Pilates at your desk" sessions, to improve productivity at work. Many people who aren't local to us enjoy attending our online classes. We run specialist Over-60s classes, as well as Chair-based classes for those with restricted mobility. We are skilled in post-operative rehabilitation / remedial Pilates, and we support numerous people with disabilities. We are experienced working with pregnant and post-natal women, and with people suffering from all kinds of different conditions such as back pain, disc issues, osteoporosis, arthritis, scoliosis, hypermobility, sciatica and other neural problems, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, joint replacement / pain, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinsons disease, high and low blood pressure, fibromyalgia, lupus, chronic fatigue syndrome (ME), cancer and various pelvic / spinal conditions. We invite movement teachers to deepen their practice with us, with weekly classes or one-off workshops. Bodywise is a Pilates teacher-training centre, running in-depth Matwork and Equipment teacher-training courses (accredited by the Pilates Foundation, the highest standard in Pilates training). All teachers at Bodywise are Pilates Foundation trained and highly creative - each with their own unique approach. The Pilates Foundation requires its members to maintain up-to-date insurance and first aid certification. PF Teachers must also commit to ongoing learning, training and practice through Continual Professional Development courses (CPD) each year. We also have a small shop on the premises selling various Pilates equipment such as mats, softballs, therabands, foam rollers, yoga blocks, spiky massage balls, non-slip socks and some clothing / books.

We have only been in our building since April 2015. Previous to this the school was on two sites following the Wyre Forest restructuring in 2011 (Bewdley Road site, formerly Blakebrook, and Comberton Road site, formerly Stourminster). We share our campus with St John's Church of England School and Baxter College. Our Early Years Hub includes a Nursery Assessment Class, which can take up to 25 children.
