Started Aspire Dance Studio in 2008 along side studying at Dance Academy South West in Bristol. Fully qualified to teach up to major level in ISTD Tap, Modern and Jazz. Alex has many years’ experience in choreographing solos, duets, trios and groups dances for festivals, exams, shows and local events. Alex has also taught Dance GCSE at Weobley High School for the past 8 years, and will be continuing to develop the subject within the school over the next few years. Over the last 5 years Alex has lead Aspire Dance Studio to success at Worcester Festival and Gloucester Festivals where a number of dancers have qualified for championships and won many medals in both senior and junior age ranges. Alex completed her Acrobatic Arts training 2 years ago and is now a qualified Acrobatic Arts Module 2 Teacher with well established Acro classes running on Saturdays. billionphotos-1001069 Miss Penny Hemms Penny cropped Penny began her dance training at the age of four in Charlton Kings. Her family relocated to Gloucester in 1986 and she enrolled at Gloucester Dance Studio where she continued her training in B.B.O Ballet, Modern and Tap until she was sixteen. She then attended Performers College in Essex and completed a three year full-time course in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre, gaining her Associate teaching certificates in I.S.T.D. Modern, Tap, Jazz and Ballet. Penny also choreographs festival solos and group pieces. Penny has danced professionally in cabaret in London’s West End and performed at various famous locations including Wembley Stadium, the London Palladium and Her Majesty’s Theatre. Penny returned to Gloucester in 2001 and has been dance teaching around the county ever since. She has also continued to attend further teacher training and lectures in order to keep her qualifications up to date. Penny joined the faculty of Aspire Dance Studios in January 2012 and is excited and proud to be part of a young, vibrant and talented school. Classical Guitar Academy is Derbyshire’s premier classical guitar studio, specialising in the retail of the world’s finest classical guitars. We also run a highly successful classical guitar school, with pupils coming to us from all over the UK both in person and remotely to enjoy our lessons, workshops and performance classes. Our History In the beginning… Classical Guitar Academy was founded in 2015 by Ed Peczek. A student of the classical guitar for many years, Ed has been dedicated to the classical guitar since 1997. His passion for the instrument defined his formative years, attending lessons at Stafford Classical Guitar Centre with Adrian Copley and Selina Madeley. This enthusiasm for the classical guitar continued throughout childhood and it was clear from then on that the instrument would be central to his future. Ed Peczek Despite officially being founded in 2015, the idea for the business was formed many years earlier while Ed was studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. As one of the UK’s leading music conservatoires, the provision of a superior programme of study was truly inspiring. However as a conservatoire, these classes were only available to students of the institution. Given that the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland only accepted two to three new students per academic year, the reach of this excellent programme seemed very limited. It was then, the idea for Classical Guitar Academy was born. The concept driving Classical Guitar Academy is the provision of a conservatoire standard programme of study to anyone and everyone who would like access to it. Classical Guitar Academy came into being during late Spring of 2015. Ed hired a room by the hour at the now defunct ‘Voicebox’ in Derby, teaching private lessons a couple days a week while juggling peripatetic work and other private lessons in Staffordshire. Despite some very long hours and a lot of driving between neighbouring counties, Classical Guitar Academy was starting to gain traction in Derbyshire. As CGA’s reputation grew, so did the business. By 2016, Classical Guitar Academy was in a strong enough position to support its own dedicated studio.

A fun and physical approach to storytelling where you will discover how to turn personal stories into short performances. This online workshop gives you basic tools to tell stories in imaginative ways. What stories blow you away? The session includes: Games and warm-ups Improvisation training Storytelling techniques Suitable for theatremakers, musicians, performers and/or directors and anyone interested in improvisation and storytelling. The Gillian Easdale School of Dancing was first established in 1979 in Johnstone. In 2016 Gillian handed the school over to her daughter Rachael who is now the Principle Teacher. Although Gillian still helps at classes and makes the costumes. We have had a few changes of venues through the years. After 17 years at Glenburn Parish Church Hall in Paisley, in November 2021 we finally were able to open our own dance studios based in Espedair Street in Paisley. We are qualified and teach in the branches; Ballet, Tap, Modern Dance, Freestyle, Cheerleading and have recently added Acro Dance to our timetable. We take children from 2 1/2 years right through to adult. As well as children classes we have popular adult classes for beginner and intermediate tap. We always endevour to encourage our pupils and students to attain their best performance and improve their abilities,confidence and poise no matter whether they are 3 or 30 or over 60 years of age! Principle Teacher Rachael Walker is MBATD Freestyle and Cheer Pom, Associate Tap, Modern, Ballet through the BATD and certified in Acro Dance. She holds a HND in Fitness, Health & Exercise, and qualified through Les Mills to teach Body Attack, Body Pump and Body Sh'bam. Miss Gillian Easdale is a Fellow and Member of the BATD - Fellowship Stage, Membership Ballet, Modern Dance, Freestyle, Rock and Roll, Associate Club Latino & Country and Western. In 2004 Gillian was awarded BATD Life Membership.

Shine Steel Band is Dartmouth's very own Reggae steel band which is open to everyone aged 10 and upwards living in the local community of Dartmouth and the surrounding towns and villages. Shine is an all inclusive band meaning that it is open to people at all levels of musical aptitude and ability. It is a learning and performing experience that enables its members to explore and express their musical inner selves. We provide a unique musical platform that encourages our members to learn to read and play music in a relaxed atmosphere and to perform live in front of public audiences. Joining Shine you will grow in confidence as you perform and work together as a team whilst at the same time having fun. Shine performs at local events including, The Dartmouth Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival, Dartmouth Royal Regatta, local community engagements and other private engagements upon special request. Drummer on Stage Playing The Shine Steel Band is located at the Dartmouth Guildhall and offers local people a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a fun and fulfilling musical activity every Tuesday evening from 6.30pm - 9.30pm. During the rehearsal sessions you'll learn how to play and perform music using steel drums and percussion musical instruments. It is challenging, interesting, educational, rewarding and disciplined but most of all, it is fun! Members of Shine need to be motivated, dedicated and to have a desire to learn how to play music up to performance level.
