Our Story In the 1980s both Judi and Alex were serving Police Officers and in the 1992 Alex left to join the London Ambulance Service. During their service, they both witnessed the importance of good First aid care and, having a passion for teaching, started out as freelance instructors for other companies. Unfortunately they were both disappointed with the quality and pricing of many of those providers. Judi become fed up with Alex's constant comments that he could "do better, cheaper" and told him to "do something about it!!!" Alex and Judi Brazkiewicz formed Holos Healthcare & Training Ltd in 2004 to deliver high quality First Aid at Work training. Alex and Judi between them, currently have almost 35 years front-line Emergency Services experience, and almost 50 years training First Aid. They are backed by a passionate team of instructors - hand picked for their experience but also their ability to "Teach the Basics - but also to Teach them Well". Services Our courses range from brief 2 hour introductory seminars and 1/2 day Basic Life Support (BLS) courses to the 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and 3-day First Aid at Work (FAW) to the 5-day Level 3 First Responder on Scene (FROS) courses. In addition Holos has the ability to devise bespoke training to meet your individual workplace requirements and has successfully delivered training to a wide and diverse variety of clients including student doctors at Kings College London (which incorporates Kings College, Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals), the ground crew for the London Ambulance Service's Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), the staff of the National Maritime Museum, security staff and specialist units within HM Armed Forces. Holos are proud of the quality of their instructors and assessors, and have enclosed a brief resume of some of them.

Having qualified from The University of Sheffield in 2015, Hannah began her career with a local government organisation, in mainstream schools. This role primarily involved working with those aged five to twenty-five, who presented with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). This involves assessing communication skills, making recommendations, delivering therapy, training up staff to deliver interventions and working with the team around the young person (e.g. parents, staff, other professionals) to achieve the best outcomes. Hannah has developed specialist interests in two main areas: hearing impairment and selective mutism. In addition to this, she has tried to combat the ever growing budget cuts by coming up with innovative ways to empower schools in their understanding and ability to work with children with SLCN. A key example of this was the development of the Training Care Pathway, which evaluates the school’s strengths and needs in managing SLCN in the classroom, and then tailors a programme of training to up-skill staff.

The London Learning Centre (LLC) has been established by Pooja Talwar and Jackie Harland (from the UK) to provide outstanding expertise, professionalism and consistent support for children and their families through our multidisciplinary team. We offer in-depth assessment and therapy intervention as well as bespoke learning programs from early literacy and numeracy, to study skills, social skills training, revision techniques and international school placement guidance. Our goal is to identify and work with a child’s individual and specific learning, developmental and educational needs, and support their family in seeing their child confidently develop and follow their ambitions. The London Learning Centre also provides a specialist outreach service to schools that includes assessments, training, programmes and target setting, as well as therapy intervention of the highest international standard.
