Course Overview SFTR is a major regulatory reporting requirement for anyone transacting repo and other securities financing transactions in the EU, no matter how limited their activity. In order to meet the regulator's demand for complete, accurate and timely data, firms are devoting considerable resources to the speedy remediation of rejected or unreconciled reports. Description This self-paced online course will offer delegates a grasp of what is required by SFTR in the EU and UK but will also provide a practical insight by looking at specific reporting rules and key data fields. Training Objectives By the end of the course, delegates should be able to: • Identify what trading activities are covered by SFTR, who has to report and by when; • Outline the role of trade repositories and recognise the reports sent to and sent out by these entities; • Distinguish the types of record to be sent to trade repositories and know in what order they should be sent; • Select and describe the data fields required for generic SFT structures, whether collateralized at transaction or portfolio level; • Complete a basic calculation of the estimated re-use of collateral. They should also: • Be aware of some of the practical issues that have arisen in reporting; • Know where to look for further guidance. Training Outline • Background which has brought the SFTR • What is Shadow Banking and how is it related to SFTR • Purpose of SFTR and key requirements for reporting parties • What SFTR covers: repos, securities/commodities lending, margin lending • Who is subject to SFTR, including mandatory delegation and branches • The role of trade repositories: who they are; what they do (validation and recon-ciliation); what you send them and what they send back and to others • Types of report (Action Types) and sequencing • Reporting deadlines. • Data sets, matching fields, cardinality rules (mandatory, conditional or optional) and conditionality links between fields • Counterparty data • Loan data: type, UTI, level of reporting, legal data, term, rate • Collateral data: type; level of reporting; classifications • CCP-cleared SFTs and margins • Collateral re-use reports: actual and estimated • Practical examples provided by ESMA Training Duration This course may take up to 3 hours to be completed. However, actual study time differs as each learner uses their own training pace. Participants This course is suitable for any professional involved with SFTR. Delegates would benefit from a familiarity with repos, securities lending and margin lending but this is not essential. The course is offered fully online using a self-paced approach. The learning units are based on reading material. Learners may start, stop and resume their training at any time. This fused glass workshop is held at my Derbyshire studio and gallery space in the middle of Wirksworth near Matlock. About this fused glass workshop Create a set of 3 mini dishes, a perfect size for a tealight candle or to store your earrings and rings. Make for yourself of to give as gifts. Explore two different design/construction processes and use precut tiles, rods and frit balls to create your designs. Can’t make the workshop? Still want to make your own fused glass dishes, check out my simplified (but still sparkly) make at home kit. Explore a little in this short fused glass taster workshop and learn a little about how the kiln firing to 800 degrees c changes the raw/pointy pieces of glass to a have smooth, shiny finish. Simply complete your designs during the session and leave them with me at the studio for me to fire twice, once flat and once into the bowl mould. We will make arrangements to pick up a few weeks later or I can post your finished piece at cost. I will talk through all the Health & Safety in the session but I want you to know now, you will be handling precut glass pieces, they have pointy ends but with the right handling, they won’t hurt you. Fused Glass Workshop – Big Bold Hangings I want to share my 15+ years of experience with you. This in person fused glass workshop is held at my Derbyshire studio and gallery space in the middle of Wirksworth near Matlock. About this fused glass workshop For this workshop I’ll give you a base piece of clear glass (precut and with a hole drilled (approx 30x5cm) for you to decorate with stripes of your favourite colours. I prepare lots of transparent glass to give you lots of strips to cut to length yourself. Build a design and layer as you like with extra textural details to really personalise your make. This is a great introduction to glass cutting, anyone can do it with the tips and tricks I’ll show you. The main thing to remember is to have fun! You will play with different types of decorative glass elements and learn a little about how the kiln firing will change them. Simply complete your design during the session and leave it at the studio for me to fire, clean and finish with a lovely ribbon, ready for you to display and enjoy. We will arrange for you to collect your piece after a few weeks or I can post your finished piece at cost. The Emergency Fist Aid at Work is an accredited 1 day, instructor led course in a fully equipped training room. We use a mixture of training methods such as hands on activities, role play, group discussion, games and the use of equipment / technology to cover the different learning styles of the individual. All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner. A range of subjects are covered including:- • Responsibilities and reporting • Resuscitation and AED awareness • Burns • Assessment of the situation • Anatomy • Choking • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty • Minor injuries • Epilepsy • Basic hygiene in First Aid • Bleeding control • Shock Certification Practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor, and a three year qualification will be issued to those who satisfy the criteria. In addition, the HSE strongly recommend that all students undergo an annual refresher programme of three hours. Instructions Please can learners ensure they wear trousers and a full shoe. Learners need to be physically fit and well to undertake the activities for First Aid Training, which requires learners to carryout CPR on the floor.
