Who we are? This community-lead Charity was formed in 2020 with the objective of improving social isolation and promoting racial harmony in Medway. We are an independent initiative who provide supplementary education to support the cultural diversity within our community. Our volunteers include a variety of qualified educators and professionals providing positive representation, with a shared passion for unity and youth work.   What we do? We offer workshops, classes and events for children aged 5-16 years, which address the educational gaps in history and highlight the positive contributions that have helped shape our society. Our volunteers encourage good citizenship and community cohesion, which broadens the understanding of ourselves and the wider world. We do this by creating cultural access points and increasing active engagement in areas such as: arts & culture, literature, history, music and sports.  Fun, interactive activities are planned and delivered on a monthly basis through a combination of structured lessons, practical play, and social interaction.

WHY RECOVERY COACHING? Background The illicit use of drugs and particularly opiates, benzodiazepines and psychostimulants, causes significant problems within Scotland as it does in other parts of the UK and Europe. Some of these problems are primarily social in nature, involving, for example, increases in acquisitive crime, prostitution, unemployment, family breakdown and homelessness. Others are more clearly associated with health problems, for example, the transmission of communicable diseases (HIV, hepatitis), injecting-related injuries and increased demands upon health care services. Similarly, alcohol problems are a major concern for public health in Scotland. Short-term problems such as intoxication can lead to risk of injury and is associated with violence and social disorder. Over the longer term, excessive consumption can cause irreversible damage to parts of the body such as the liver and brain. Alcohol can also lead to mental health problems, for example, alcohol dependency and increased risk of suicide. In addition, alcohol is recognised as a contributory factor in many other diseases including cancer, stroke and heart disease. Wider social problems include family disruption, absenteeism from work and financial difficulties. The Alcohol Framework 2018: Preventing Harm, published by the Scottish Government includes the estimate from the 2010 study, The Societal Cost of Alcohol Misuse in Scotland for 2007, that the impact of this excessive consumption is estimated to cost Scotland £3.6 billion each year. Our Challenge There are a number of characteristics in the behaviours, profile and patterns of drug use and people who use them that both differentiate and add complexity to the nature of our challenge, such as: High risk patterns of Drug use, including multiple different drug (poly drug use) and alcohol. High levels of social depravation, poverty and highly stigmatised people. Drug Misuse & Treatment in Scottish Prisons From 2009/10 to 2018/19, Testing was conducted across all Scottish prisons annually. During one month of the year, prisoners arriving in custody were voluntarily tested for the presence of illegal or illicit drugs. Similarly, those leaving custody during the month were tested to assess progress towards the 'reduced or stabilised' offender outcome. Some key points been: In 2018/19, of the tests carried out at prison entry 75% were positive for drugs The illegal/illicit drugs most commonly detected when entering prison in 2018/19 were cannabis benzodiazepines, opiates and cocaine In 2018/19, of the tests carried out when leaving prison 26% were positive for illegal/illicit drug

We are a small‚ family run company with a passion for electroplating‚ electroforming, metal finishing and providing a great service‚ not only to our own customers but anyone who needs help or advice. Gateros Plating started‚ as most things do‚ as a hobby. We have been restoring motorbikes for a long time‚ during our restorations‚ most of our metal parts had been sent to industrial platers. We found that there was a large gap between the price of the service and the quality of finished part we received. This is because‚ unfortunately‚ our parts were one of thousands rushed through a large‚ busy‚ impersonal company. After some research and testing we put together our first electroplating system. The results were great and the price was low! Having excess chemicals and the ease of plating at home lead us to the idea of supplying kits to everyone else. We have grown along with our company and feel we can supply not only comprehensive kits that give excellent results but quality advice too. Our kits and products are based on the same principles and chemicals as industrial plating systems. We are therefore confident that‚ if you follow the instructions with care and attention‚ the results from our kits will be of a very high standard. That is why we have decided to start offering electroplating lessons. They will cover the breadth of knowledge needed to get you plating confidently and effectively. We will start with a little about the fundamental scientific basics of plating followed by a complete practical overview of the process‚ covering the importance of cleaning‚ setting up your tank and things to watch out for‚ mixing chemicals and wiring the electronics‚ the plating process‚ and finally what to do afterwards.

Welcome! I am a warm and compassionate Senior Clinical Psychologist with 20 years experience of supporting individuals, groups and families. I also work in secondary care mental health services with people who present with a range of difficulties such as shame, self-criticism, dissociation, interpersonal difficulties etc. I hold a non-pathologising view of psychological distress and use a range of models flexibly and creatively to help people address their individual concerns and achieve greater well-being. I also offer individual and group supervision to qualified therapists, and lead Internal Family Systems practice groups. I have a special interest in working with adults who have experienced trauma bringing together, Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and Cognitive-Analytic Therapy (CAT), to help people begin the deep healing process that trauma requires. I am Certified/ Accredited in IFS, EMDR, CAT, and CBT, undertaking ongoing supervision and training. I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapies (ACAT) and the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP).

Rebecca is a qualified Chartered Accountant and hold the status FCCA - Fellow members of the Association Of Chartered Certified Accountancy (ACCA). She started off working in Financial Services industry in the insurance sector, then moved on to wealth, followed by healthcare insurance. One of the major highlights was when she took on the Solvency II project when it was introduced in the financial service industry. She was in charge of setting up and implementing pillar III. To simplify, when reporting your financial statement you have IFRS, Local GAAP - Solvency II is an addition to this in the financial service sector. She decided to broaden her industry knowledge and therefore joined one of the biggest companies in the construction industry as a Lead Hub accountant doing statutory accounts for one of the UK entities and looking after Sweden and Poland ensuring the quality of financial statements at country level. She is a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual who always looks for opportunities to learn and develop herself, she continues to enhance her strong analytical and organisational skills in financial governance and reporting. Rebecca is not only passionate about finances, she is passionate about helping people understand their finances and make better life decisions. She has always been passionate about financial Coaching, and has been coaching friends and family for most of her life. Realising that most people can benefit from financial coaching she decided to start helping people on a part-time basis. She believes that everyone has potential in achieving their financial success.
