CCF strives to improve the social and economic wellbeing of disadvantaged communities by providing opportunities for people to develop their skills, gain qualifications and improve their health. Set up in 1997, Community Connect Foundation (CCF) has been working in partnership with many private and public sector organisations to improve the social and economic wellbeing of the disadvantaged communities in inner city areas. Through its work, CCF has developed, in effect, into a Community Anchor serving a much wider range of residents, communities and geographical areas. Whilst its base in Smethwick is an important one for its ability to reach out to communities in Smethwick, much of its work is delivered across a larger geographical area. With the help and support of managed funding from a variety of sources, we have been able to provide quality service provisions to more than 8,000 people. A substantial number of these people have gained qualifications and moved on to find employment.It demonstrates our determination to reach out into all sections of our communities to provide essential training opportunities, heath advice and youth development support to those that need it most. The success of CCF relies on the charity’s strong partnerships with statutory providers and community-based organisations. Much of CCF’s work is delivered on an outreach basis throughout Sandwell and Birmingham. Having maintained an accreditation from Matrix Standards & Investors in People (IIP) since 2004, we are confident we deliver a quality assured service consistently which is benchmarked by prestigious national standards. Additionally, we are accredited by prominent awarding bodies such as Pearson, Highfield Qualifications & Ascentis for delivering a wide range of Language skills, Functional Skills, Employability Skills and Apprenticeships qualifications.

I am Dorothea Scales. I have founded Fidas Consent Training because I want to share my knowledge and experience of dealing with sexual assaults and rapes which I gained during my career as a Detective Sergeant. I have combined my passion for safeguarding with my enthusiasm for training – having an MA in education and being a qualified teacher gave me the skills set to develop and deliver my courses. Since leaving the Police in October 2021, I have already delivered to hundreds of students, pupils and their teachers, to Designated Safeguarding Leaders and University students, colleges, youth organisations, charities, and apprentices   I have combined my expertise as an ex-Detective Sergeant in Safeguarding and my experience as a teacher, to develop my completely unique consent workshops, presentations and now a cost effective eLearning package . I have trained Detectives, Police cadets and Police Special constables and probationers. I have developed courses for Police officers in dealing sensitively with victims of rape and confronting myths and misconceptions. I have lead  leading a Pilot project for Durham County Council in delivering consent workshops to local secondary schools.   Fidas Consent Training is about sharing my passion for safeguarding the truly vulnerable and giving every person an informed choice about consent.   As a qualified, experienced, and passionate safeguarding specialist, I have 16 years’ experience as a Police Officer, protecting the rights of children, young people, and adults. I have always been driven by making a positive difference to the vulnerable. During my time in education and the Police, I have developed additional skills in risk management, people leadership and managing the most complex investigations which demand a sensitive and compassionate response. Victim focused and people centred in my work, I championed change in the police and built strong alliances with partner organisations As a Detective Sergeant within the Safeguarding unit I dealt with victims and suspects of rape and sexual assaults on a daily basis, often from report to court. I know and understand all the devastating consequences of not understanding or ignoring consent and want to share my experience with young people for a better future. I am a qualified Teacher and Safeguarding instructor committed to sharing my experience and expertise through my training courses. Don’t worry if you are not sure which service would be of benefit to you/your child – we will discuss this with you when we speak to you. We offer lots of additional services for children and young people including group programmes, therapeutic groups and free family activities. Steve has extensive experience of working with schools, community and youth groups across Bristol to engage young (and older) people in outdoor learning and has worked in Stoke Park Estate for more than 40 years. Steve is a multi-award winning outdoor learning professional whose work is well-respected in Bristol and Nationally. Steve England Dogs In 2013, Steve was inducted into the Bristol Walk of Fame at Bristol Zoo in recognition of his work as a local conservation educator. In the same year, Steve was runner up in the UK’s ‘Council for Learning outside the Classroom’s’ “Lifetime Contribution to LOtC” award. He was recently awarded the Avon & Somerset Police Commissioner’s ‘Pride Award’ for his work supporting young people with a wide range of previous skills and experience, and engaging young people in positive outdoor learning activities at Stoke Park Estate. Throughout 2015, Steve has been working with Avon Wildlife Trust on the ‘My Wild City Project’ which aims to turn the whole of Bristol into a nature reserve. Steve is one of the project’s ‘My Wild City Champions.’ Steve has spent his life working in Stoke Park Estate and the nearby Frome Valley, witnessing and contributing to many changes aimed at improving Bristol’s wildlife. Steve continues to volunteer at Stoke Park Estate, supporting Stoke Park Action Group and other community-based organisations to maintain and develop the park for the benefit of the wider community. This work was recently recognised by Bristol Natural History Consortium which awarded Steve ‘Bristol’s Green Volunteer of the Year,’ in recognition of his ongoing commitment to improving the natural environment.

Hello! Welcome to our website! Who are we? In 2014 Imagine That Drama Classes began with a simple objective – to offer quality, affordable drama classes for the young people of Airdrie. Over the years our classes have grown from strength to strength and in 2020 we became Imagine That Performing Arts Ltd. Our own studios are now located in the most beautiful listed building at the heart of the community. Our students work with our qualified, experienced tutors from the performing arts industry as well as a range of industry experts from across the UK to reach their potential. Imagine That Performing Arts bridges the gap between ‘drama clubs’ and performing arts education. Our range of classes and the opportunities we offer ensure that all students needs are catered for, whether you are just looking for a new hobby or if you want to pursue a career in the arts. We pride ourselves in the opportunities we offer to our students. All students take part in regular productions, as well as theatre trips, casting opportunities, and masterclasses. Our students have gone on to star in TV shows, Hollywood films, and to pursue their dreams studying Music and Musical Theatre at university and college.
