Having spent over thirteen years perfecting her craft as a personal trainer and lifestyle coach, Grace is able to utilise a range of techniques to help her clients achieve their goals including nutrition, mobility, lifestyle and strength & conditioning training. “I enjoy helping people reach their full potential as an athlete and health & fitness goals, especially when they don’t think they can. I love encouraging women to lift weights and get strong as they feel empowered. Seeing clients reach their performance goals, fat loss, health, strength and energy goals brings so much satisfaction, and in seeing how much you can influence someone to improve their quality of life.” Born and raised in Essex, just outside London, Grace has travelled the world in pursuit of knowledge in her field. Her career in the fitness industry began in Australia, with the National Australian Institute of Personal Trainers where she gained experience working alongside leading industry figures. Grace has worked with Strength and Conditioning Coaches at the Australian Women’s Rugby 7s Team, Surfing Australia High Performance Centre and a number of professional rugby league teams such as the Cronulla Sharks & Sydney Roosters. Back in London, Grace has focused her knowledge and efforts towards personal training and coaching, bringing the process previously only available to elite athletes to you. Our lives are busy, non-stop and highly stressful. Grace wants to help you achieve your goals in the gym to give you the energy to achieve more in life. Dancer Choreographer Dance and Fitness instructor Personal trainer Bootyful® creator and founder Strength and conditioning for dancers and athletes Ana has been academically trained in jazz technique, and participating in various dance styles workshops and seminars around the globe (Belgium, Senegal, New York, UK) which gave her exposure to a variety of different dance styles techniques and choreography approaches. She is also a personal trainer and fitness enthusiast. Her admiration of human body and movement merged the two disciplines and made her dance fitness expert with over 15 years of experience. Using her knowledge, experience and expertise she created original and unique dance fitness concept Bootyful®. Her passion lies in helping people live the healthiest and happiest lives, feeling good in their own skin and helping them to recognise their own potential. Ana is regularly teaching dance and fitness classes in the UK and international, helping general public and athletes to achieve their goals and as a personal trainer, she is constantly sharing her knowledge and inspiring students in higher education as a guest and an associate lecturer in dance. She has also established Bootyful® Instructor Training course where she is tutor, assessor and coordinator. She is continuing her professional development by constantly updating her knowledge on different industry recognised courses relating to dance, exercise, tutoring and assessments. Durham University Fencing Club has a long-standing reputation for being one of the leading programmes in British University Sport, and is currently the #1 university fencing club in the country. Facilities, Coaches, and Training The club boasts the only purpose-built university fencing salle in the UK, with four permanent metal pistes, four training pistes, and one wheelchair fencing frame. In addition to phenomenal facilities, Durham also has a top-class training programme. Club sessions are run by head coach Laszlo Jakab, who has coached athletes to become Olympic, Commonwealth, and National Champions in all three weapons. Assistant coach Stewart Watson has also returned from a stint as performance director for Singapore Fencing, and similarly offers one-to-one lessons. In addition to training, team fencers can also take part in Strength and Conditioning sessions, run by the University’s Performance Sport Programme. Performance Fencing The club’s top teams are regular winners of BUCS, a competitive league in the UK comparable to the NCAA. BUCS takes place throughout the year in both a League and knockout Cup format. Both 1st teams were BUCS Champions in 2020, a title now claimed by the men’s team 4 times. The men’s 1st team has also reached the finals of the Cup for 4 years of the last 5, and the women’s 1st team for 3. The club won three gold medals at the BUCS National Individual Championships 2020, two of which were by members of our women’s 1st team. The talent that we have attracted is testament to the strength of our programme. Many of our performance fencers have represented their nations at World and European Championships, Commonwealth, Pan American, and Central American games.
