A Lively, Vibrant Space an art class in a studio in florence italy THE FLORENCE ART STUDIO The Florenceart.net studio is located in a charming ex-monastery, near the ancient town of Anghiari in southern Tuscany. Our independent artist's studio has been active for over 15 years and throughout this time we have produced many commissions and held courses with students visiting this historic region from all over the world. The studio was formerly on Via della Scala, in the historical Palace of the Riblet Bargagli Petrucci in the center of Florence, but moved in 2022 to the new location in the countryside. For those who cannot travel to Italy, we have new online videos for beginners or professional artists to learn art virtually. Classical and Contemporary OUR SPECIALITIES We specialize in antique artisan techniques and skills such as gilding, trompe l'oeil, grisaille, fresco, sgraffito, and grottesca decoration. We create artworks and decoration for interiors, harpsichords, and furniture. We produce fine furniture finishes and decorative art for the interior design industry worldwide. In the past we have created designs for fabric, stencils and original interior decoration. Please see our Commissions page for examples of our past work. We love sharing our knowledge of these authentic techniques. Throughout the year, we hold art workshops and retreat courses from our studio and in stunning locations in Tuscany, teaching gilding, decorative painting, mural decoration and lime fresco techniques.

DCTR (pronounced like Doctor, we just dropped the o's) is a full service creative agency based in Surrey. We provide the creative services for all sectors in property, home improvement, retail, restaurants, hotels, other agencies and interior designers. There's two sides to us: 1) We're a creative studio that works with clients on a project-by-project, or account basis. 2) We're also a platform - we call it Doctor Photo. You don't have to use the platform to work with us, but for most photo edits and virtual furnishing jobs, we recommend you do. We want you to sell or rent your property at the best possible price - in the fastest time, and truly believe that great property marketing is the unlock to make that happen. Our wonderful team works really hard to create fresh creative and content that puts your consumer at the heart of what we do. Oh and we only work with nice people! 😁 There aren't many marketing agencies where you have the flexibility to order one photo-edit for less than the price of a coffee, as well as work with a full-service project team across CGI, Design & Film. Well none that we're aware of anyway 🤯 We're a team of 15, with a roster of freelance partners at the top of their game - keeping us agile and able to keep to deadlines. We don't really like the term prop-tech, but we do invest thousands every year in our own bespoke software platform and use industry standard tech to create the best quality assets for our clients. We've been rated 'Exceptional' 5 years in a row at the Property EA Masters - an accolade reserved for only 5% of the 600 suppliers out there. Our mums are extremely proud.

Abingdon

Beatrice Hoffman has worked as a sculptor since her sculpture degree 1986-89 at the Norwich School of Art, mainly modelling in clay and plasticine, but also carving in stone, wood, plaster, polystyrene and expandable foam. Originally from Germany, she has settled in a small village near Oxford, where she sculpts in her conservatory studio , and under a gazebo in the summer. As you can see from her website gallery, the sizes of her sculptures vary from domestic small figures for windowsills, chimney breasts and coffee tables to middle sized (60-90 cm tall) garden und indoor sculptures on plinths or furniture, and freestanding life-size large public and private commissions 200 cm high, suitable for gardens, large interior reception halls and offices. A few of her sculptures can be found in the gallery “The Art Agency” in Esher near London. To buy a sculpture, you can also approach her directly via phone, video/zoom or email; or alternatively arrange a studio visit. Once a year in May she opens her studio with “Oxford Arts Weeks” (OAW) . You can find the retail prices of sculptures beside the individual sculpture images on this website; this price does not include anything else but the sculpture. Costs for courier and crates ( for larger sculpture only) and tax (VAT and Local destination Tax duty) are NOT included in the price. Please contact your Customs authority to enquire about the costs of tax; Beatrice will let you know about the courier costs. She sends sculptures world-wide via courier. The prices on the website are for bronze-resin casts; bronze casts can be commissioned , with a 50% downpayment and on average, a six weeks lead-time. If necessary and possible, she can advise on siting a newly-bought sculpture and the choice of plinths.

Harwich

Beverley and Nigel Caleno own, run and are fully immersed in all aspects of Old Bank Studios life. We bought the Old Bank in Harwich in 2011. Having brought up and educated a family in Colchester, we were looking for a change of lifestyle and an opportunity to build on Bev’s Interior and Soft Furnishing business. Falling in love with this magnificent building and the unspoilt, faded charm of Harwich town, where beautiful architecture sits alongside maritime industry and stunning estuary views…….. we took the plunge. Bev very quickly opened her Textile Studio and it soon became clear that demand for her workshops and courses was going from strength to strength. Encouraged by this success, the decision was made to start inviting tutors from outside to deliver workshops; we were going to need more space! And so began a full restoration of the main banking hall; with it’s high ceiling, perfect light and ample space, our new Art Studio was created. As time went on a kitchen was installed in the former bank vault. Since our first Art Workshop in June 2013, we have successfully run hundreds of one day events and longer courses, attracting many of the country’s leading artists and tutors to work with us. Our reputation has spread far and wide and we regularly welcome students from the four corners of the UK, as well as further afield. On a personal level we both continue to explore and develop our own creativity and hold an annual exhibition of our work. Bev is firmly established as a Textile Artist and more recently a painter in Watercolour, whilst Nigel works in in many media, but is gaining a reputation as a Plein Air Oil Painter. We look forward to welcoming you to the Old Bank Studios very soon.
