It is an opportunity for an employer to offer a trainee the chance to learn more about their company while they work and get ready for an apprenticeship or a job. They can last from 6 weeks up to a year. The employer can claim a Government incentive of up to £1000 per trainee. It often happens that a horse has recovered from an injury and the vet gives green light to slowly pick up the physical work again but how that can be done best, especially with a horse who thinks it can do everything again, is often a challenge. There are a lot of things to think about: what is the physical, mental and emotional situation of the horse at that moment. What does he need in physical work, groundwork or riding to help him recover. I can help you draw up a plan to help your horse become a healthy and happy horse again. Besides my sessions with your horse I will guide you through practical tips and tricks as giving you the tools to help your horse is one of my main goals. Knowing your horse and understanding him really well is not always easy. I can guide you to be more aware of the subtle signs he is giving you as being a better listener for your horse will help you to fine tune your work. By carefully observing and acknowledging these signs I can work on short term visible results with horse and owner.

Design and Technology at Bankfields Primary School is essentially a practical subject that allows children to think imaginatively and creatively.The school has two buildings known as the East Building and the West Building. The main office and the Headteacher’s office are located in the West Building. The Reception, Y1, Y2, Y3 and Year 4 children are based in the West Building. The Y5 and Y6 team plus the Nursery are based in the East Building. The school is organised into four teams – Mrs C Ward Foundation Stage (EYFS and KS1 lead) Mr P Bennett Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) Mrs K Lee Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6) Each team is led by a senior member of staff. Children in every team benefit from the extra support provided by teaching assistants. There is a high level of staffing in the Early Years team to ensure the particular needs of the younger pupils are fully met. On entry to school each child is placed in a mixed ability class in the care of a class teacher. The class teacher is responsible for the learning and pastoral care of the children in his/her class. If you wish to talk about any aspect of your child’s development, the class teacher is usually the first point of contact.

For over 120 years, MRS Training & Rescue (formerly known as Mines Rescue Service), has developed specialist skills, experience and knowledge gained from working in difficult and potentially dangerous environments, to effect the rescue and escape of mine workers from underground. However, given the gradual decline of the coal mines over many years, culminating in the closure of the last deep coal mine in December 2015, we have been able to expand and diversify to meet the needs of today’s health and safety market. We have been able to secure long term success by leveraging our expertise, and have branched out from underground mining into providing unique rescue services, specialist equipment (some of which has been designed using practical expertise gathered on the job), consultancy and a comprehensive range of accredited health and safety related products, training and services to a wide range of industries, including nuclear, aerospace, manufacturing and utilities. Training and assessing customers' employees to safely enter, work and exit from confined spaces, is offered at all of our eight training centres, and can also be delivered at customers’ premises by using our mobile rigs. We have been involved with industry in developing the National Occupational Standards, and all the confined space suite of qualifications awarded by City & Guilds are available at our accredited training centres. We have also developed bespoke courses for specific industries such as the water industry.

The Oxford Schools Chaplaincy is a registered charity (no. 1140387) and a member of the Evangelical Alliance. Since 2010 Oxford Schools Chaplaincy has been working in schools around Oxford, expanding from 2015, through a programme of working with and training volunteers in order to offer a wider range of activities. In 2019, we delivered 50 lessons to 1,220 students; provided assemblies to over 800 students, as well as supported Christian groups in 6 schools and organised teacher support events. We have 50 people who have volunteered from 23 churches around Oxford. In 2020/21, we worked to support teachers and students during lockdown, and Coronavirus restrictions. We were able to offer online lessons and assemblies, support teachers in running online Christian Unions, and offer practical and emotional support to teachers and students grappling with the issues raised by the pandemic. Our trustees and patrons invest in all aspects of education and are also involved with the River Learning Trust, the Oxford Diocese and Oakhill College, as well as active in their local churches. OSC has partnered with Wycliffe Hall, OCCA, Innovista, the Oxford Diocese, BeSpace and Gideons in bringing the message of the Christian faith to schools around Oxford. Our activities include: Bespoke lessons and assemblies. Christian Unions. Bible Explorer Walk through the Bible. True Club for Year 6 girls. Teacher Support events. Volunteer training sessions.
