Design and Technology at Bankfields Primary School is essentially a practical subject that allows children to think imaginatively and creatively.The school has two buildings known as the East Building and the West Building. The main office and the Headteacher’s office are located in the West Building. The Reception, Y1, Y2, Y3 and Year 4 children are based in the West Building. The Y5 and Y6 team plus the Nursery are based in the East Building. The school is organised into four teams – Mrs C Ward Foundation Stage (EYFS and KS1 lead) Mr P Bennett Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) Mrs K Lee Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6) Each team is led by a senior member of staff. Children in every team benefit from the extra support provided by teaching assistants. There is a high level of staffing in the Early Years team to ensure the particular needs of the younger pupils are fully met. On entry to school each child is placed in a mixed ability class in the care of a class teacher. The class teacher is responsible for the learning and pastoral care of the children in his/her class. If you wish to talk about any aspect of your child’s development, the class teacher is usually the first point of contact.

In 2012 Bluemoon College achieved EDI Approved Centre status to be able to offer the Level 3 Professional Investigators Qualification. History Bluemoon College started out as Antek Security Training providing training for the security industry. We offered public courses and home study materials. 2008 we changed our focus to concentrate on Private Investigator training and hence changed our name to Bluemoon School of Investigation. In 2010 we re-branded as the Bluemoon College. Finally, in 2016 we moved our training facilities to our new offices in Paddington to be easier to reach.

The Oxford Schools Chaplaincy is a registered charity (no. 1140387) and a member of the Evangelical Alliance. Since 2010 Oxford Schools Chaplaincy has been working in schools around Oxford, expanding from 2015, through a programme of working with and training volunteers in order to offer a wider range of activities. In 2019, we delivered 50 lessons to 1,220 students; provided assemblies to over 800 students, as well as supported Christian groups in 6 schools and organised teacher support events. We have 50 people who have volunteered from 23 churches around Oxford. In 2020/21, we worked to support teachers and students during lockdown, and Coronavirus restrictions. We were able to offer online lessons and assemblies, support teachers in running online Christian Unions, and offer practical and emotional support to teachers and students grappling with the issues raised by the pandemic. Our trustees and patrons invest in all aspects of education and are also involved with the River Learning Trust, the Oxford Diocese and Oakhill College, as well as active in their local churches. OSC has partnered with Wycliffe Hall, OCCA, Innovista, the Oxford Diocese, BeSpace and Gideons in bringing the message of the Christian faith to schools around Oxford. Our activities include: Bespoke lessons and assemblies. Christian Unions. Bible Explorer Walk through the Bible. True Club for Year 6 girls. Teacher Support events. Volunteer training sessions.

As a 10 dance finalist (Ballroom & Latin) 3 years running, gained top teacher award for training students with disabilities to competition level. However in 2003 I was told I would be wheelchair bound within five years due to a serious back problem. It was then that I discovered the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® along with my knowledge and previous training was able to have complete recovery. Hello, and thank you for popping by. People often ask me why I do what I do. Well, in 2010 I experienced a heartbreaking bereavement to suicide. Sadly, my son’s father, lost his struggle with poor mental health. My son and I faced the challenges and adversity that came with this traumatic experience. This bereavement to suicide contributed towards experiencing a downward spiral of declining mental health. The ‘’just keep swimming’’ mantra, so prevalent in society, became unmanageable. I was drowning and recognised I needed HELP. While researching my way back to good mental health, using tools such as GRM (The Grief Recovery Method ®), Mindfulness and NLP, I discovered that truly HELPful support was hard to find. My realisation that I needed help brought about a motivation to survive and thrive from my experience. I am a proactive and HELPful coach. I use my credentials as a Master NLP practitioner, Grief Recovery Method® Specialist and Mindfulness Teacher to provide an all-encompassing approach that has resulted in helping over 1000 people. My mission is to provide people with HELP that supports positive mental health and prevent other families from experiencing loss due to poor mental health. In all my coaching and training, I apply Honesty and Empathy while really Listening and giving Practical advice that makes a difference. Because it’s OK to ask for HELP.
