An Introduction course is a great way to learn about the amazing craft of blacksmithing. The course will teach you the basics of forging and making decorative work for your home, and you will have something you have made to take home with you and enjoy.  On the course we will make a number of small items, including hooks, key rings, pendants, candle holders and others based on time available. This course is open for 12-17 year olds and will be taught on a one-to-one basis allowing the student to fully immerse themselves in the craft. Parent or guardian MUST attend and may join in the course for a fee. Courses are £200 per day A second student or the parent/guardian can be join the course for £100  I run a strict cancellation policy. If you cannot attend the date you have booked please contact me within three weeks and I will rebook your course for free, If you contact me after this deadline you will lose your place. Refunds are not available. If you have a physical gift voucher it must be presented on the first day of a course. *Gift vouchers are valid for one year from date of purchase

How to book a space on an Exhibition Talk or Taster The Exhibition Talks, demos and drop-ins are free of charge, however spaces are limited and it would be helpful if you could book using the links below so that we have an idea of numbers. Select your choice of Talk or Taster below and the link will take you to the booking page. If it's already sold out, you can add your name to the waiting list. There is a nominal fee of £5 towards the cost of materials payable for the Exhibition Tasters, and spaces are limited. The £5 is also fully redeemable against the purchase of a workshop space (collect your exhibition voucher at the end of your Exhibition Taster). We recommend booking in advance to secure a spot. Any remaining spaces will be made available to book on the day. The exhibition is taking place in the Scot-ART Gallery 1 on the 3rd floor of St Margaret’s House, 151 London Road, Edinburgh EH7 6AE from Saturday, 24 - Saturday, 31 May 2025 and is open from 11am-5pm each day.
