myf training ltd
MYF Training was formed in 2001 to provide specialist training for student
veterinary nurses. The Director and Head of Centre, Julie Ouston, had taught
student nurses for several years at a local college, but decided to set up her
own company in order to improve and develop veterinary nurse training in the
area. When Julie started the company she was the only employee, but the team has
now expanded, are currently there are 16 of us providing care and support for
our students and practices. We are passionate about the training we provide, and
believe strongly in the benefits of having well trained, motivated nurses in
practice. All the lecturers and internal verifiers at MYF Training have
considerable clinical experience as well as being qualified to undertake their
training roles, and our support staff are equally enthusiastic about working in
such as important area as this. We thoroughly enjoy working with all members of
the practice team involved with the training of student nurses, and share our
students’ delight as each group achieve their goal of qualifying and becoming a
Registered Veterinary Nurse. As well as training student nurses, MYF Training
believes that everyone benefits from ongoing training and development, so in
addition to our Diploma courses, we have many CPD lectures and courses aimed at
other members of the practice team.
