West Midlands,

Walsall Studio School is a specialist studio school with a bespoke curriculum and pedagogy designed to engage, enable and extend students to catch up (where required), step up and then reach for greatness within a 4-year transformational journey from school student (at the start of Y10) to young creative professional (at the end of sixth form study). Students at the end of KS5 achieve the highest possible grades and progress to some of the best universities, conservatoires and drama schools in the country and directly into work in both local and flagship national employers including the BBC and IBM. Walsall Studio School is one of the top-performing 14-19 academies in the country (headline KS5 APS average grades and progress VA for all KS5 performance measures). Like white water rafting enthusiasts, staff at Walsall Studio School have become adept at navigating turbulent waters as they take students (from their individual starting points) on an accelerated journey into their future at university and in employment. TRANSFORMING FUTURES The work of the studio school is best encapsulated by leaders’ commitment to social mobility; the school has an excellent track record in enabling disadvantaged and vulnerable students to engage with education and the community around them. As a result of the tenacious dedication of well-qualified, experienced and highly skilled staff in the school, students take positive strides forward; making a positive contribution to their families, local community and wider society.

Our purpose is to advance the Kingdom of God through training and teaching people from all over the world. CORE VALUES  Community As a residential, cross-cultural community we provide a framework for growth in all areas and encourage the students to be Christlike. While fellowship between students and staff creates a close mentoring and nurturing environment. Christ Centered Jesus’ leadership was characterised by service as well as integrity, excellence, faith, hope and love, so we don’t just teach them to preach about Him but to imitate him and develop a servant attitude too. Connected We have always been aware of and responded to the needs of the nations and these international connections ensure that we continue to network with missions worldwide. While the students’ involvement in local churches gives opportunities to form connections within the UK. Complete The school believes that the key to preparing the next generation for effective ministry is a programme with a good academic curriculum taught by passionate, experienced and competent lecturers together with a strong vocational component, so this is our holistic approach. VISION &  GOALS The IBTC’s vision is to empower a young generation to effectively function in Christian service. This vision is accomplished by welcoming students from many parts of the world, training them into mission back home and abroad. THROUGH OUR TRAINING WE ARE COMMITTED TO HELPING THEM: * Discover their vocation if they have not yet done so. * Define their already present vocation in areas where they lack understanding. * Develop their vocation and their gifts. THROUGH THEIR TRAINING THEY WILL BE ABLE TO: * Create a culture of learning by supporting local churches and other Christian vocational schools and organisations worldwide. * Evangelise throughout the world through missionary trips, community projects, discipleship programmes etc. * Relieve poverty across the world by meeting people’s needs in a holistic way.

Rachel Godfrey

I’m a poet, prose-poet, short story writer and journal keeper. I write regularly for enjoyment, self-exploration, and as a form of reflective practice, and I’m passionate about the link between creative expression and wellbeing. “I’ve loved stories, poems and language since I was young. I’m fascinated by the different means we all use to communicate with others, and how we strive to overcome the blocks we encounter in our attempts to hear and be heard by others.” — RACHEL GODFREY I'm also a qualified and experienced Creative Writing for Wellbeing facilitator, offering interactive courses and workshops for adults, as well as one-to-one mentoring. I create and hold a space where participants can take creative and emotional risks to express themselves on the page in short (5-25 minute) bursts of 'live' spontaneous writing (poetry, narrative, prose-poetry, autobiographical fiction, memoir, and other forms), in response to a range of prompts. Participants can choose to share their writing and/or to discuss their reflections on the writing process, knowing that anything they do share will be held supportively. I constantly marvel at the diverse pieces generated by a single prompt and a time limit, and it’s a privilege to witness people grow in confidence as they entrust themselves, their writing and their creative process to the group. I have a background in ELT / TESOL (English Language Teaching / Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), and I’ve been a published author in this field for about 15 years. This work draws on my years of experience as a teacher and teacher trainer, and satisfies my deep interest in the patterns, sounds, and nuances of meaning of English.

Location Routes Management

Birmingham

We are a UK Film & TV Agency specialising in “on the move” filming. This ranges from a routes library of film-friendly driving routes, consultancy services, training and a talent agency service. For each route through our library, we offer 4K dash cam footage (front & rear footage in day and night views), a digital map and supporting documents for the locations team on the day. We are innovating the way in which we scout for “on the move” locations. We hope to also increase the training offered & level of knowledge in this area among film crew Oliver Laurenson-Gore – Location Manager & Scout set up Location Routes in early 2022 after his experience of working on PIRATES (BFI/BBC Films) back in 2019 & 2020. This roadtrip from North to Central London involving a car being the central aspect of the film. made him understand the challenges of “filming on the move”. He often found from his own experience that it was challenging to show Directors and other creatives involved suitable roads without recording the route. There was also a number of times in his career that he had to change the route last minute which has caused additional stress and wasted shooting time. Why offer this service and is it needed? Think of how many Film & TV shows that have any form of vehicles driving or stunt scenes on roads…it’s most shows! Roads are getting more difficult to find with more lane reduction programmes and cycle lanes in cities and towns across the UK. Location Managers are being asked to find more locations than ever before in tighter turnaround times. Location Routes is here to help
