I began practising yoga in 2005 with the intention to build strength and improve my flexibility, but what I got from it was so much more. Yoga not only quickly changed my body, but taught me to quieten my mind and I immediately became a disciple.

I am a qualified Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga and Postnatal yoga Teacher accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals. I have been practicing different types of yoga for many years but gravitated towards Vinyasa Flow in the past few years as I love the dynamic aspect of Vinyasa and focus on the synchronicity of the breath and movement. My practice and teaching is also informed by elements of Myofascial release and I also love teaching Yin yoga. I find Yin a good balance for the Yang or Vinyasa flow practices. My approach is primarily a functional rather than an aesthetic or alignment based approach to yoga. All of our bodies are different and I enjoy helping those in my class get the most out of their practice whatever their experience, level of flexibility or fitness. My teaching is also informed by my other profession as a counselling therapist and eco therapist and I integrate an element of mindfulness and holistic healing with my practice.
Yoga is my headspace, me time, solace, time-out. It’s my NECESSITY to find balance and space between my roles as a mother, wife, teacher, friend and all the other demands life throws in between.
