Then in 2018 we decided to show our support to the talented riders in Thundersport GB by sponsoring the Golden Era Supersort and Steelsport Class. ClayKilnCraft is an independent educational and training pottery set in the heart of Crystal Palace, South East London. Started in 2014 by ceramic artist Aliya Rashid giving wheel lessons in her studio for beginners, the company has evolved into a thriving creative space teaching people of all abilities to throw, handbuild and explore their inner artist while improving and building on their skills. After graduating in Ceramics at Camberwell College of Art with a first class honours degree, Aliya fell into teaching by accident after she was recommended by a friend to teach pottery at a centre 
for special needs adults in London. ‘It was a very challenging, but rewarding experience. I came away from that summer project completely humbled. I knew I wanted to do more. ‘It started small, with monthly lessons. When my students wanted more I found space in a basement converted toilet! And yes, it was as grim as it sounds. When it rained the smell was… very pungent! ‘I was thrilled to find the shop I’m in now. It’s taken a lot of hard work to get it to this stage. It’s all been done with sheer hard work, doing two jobs to finance everything. This is an independent studio and I’m determined it should stay that way. The atmosphere is relaxed, fun and supportive whatever my students aims are. The studio is looking fantastic and the facilities improve on a weekly basis. ‘As well as core courses and classes for beginners and intermediates, we now offer open access to people of all abilities. The studio helps people to develop at their own pace to make what interests them whether they are hobby potters and just want to relax after a hard days work or they are serious potters looking to sell or exhibit their work. Natterhub teaches children to approach the internet with kindness, empathy, resilience and critical thinking - skills that will last them a lifetime. Following on from extensive school based research, Natterhub was built and designed to create the most impact for pupils to develop critical thinking skills associated with being online. With metacognition at the heart of the project, we have continued to reflect and adapt our product in order for it to provide schools with the highest quality digital literacy education. We’ve been supported by TwinklHive, and are closely aligned with safeguarding organisations like the NSPCC and the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF).

They both knew what it was like to be so worn out with constant injuries when you just wanted to train and have fun. Jenni got Tom his first ever article submission with the online magazine Boxrox and then started joining in with Tom’s video content online - no one can demonstrate a bad rep like Jenni can, which is invaluable for helping people to learn! This project is the vessel through which I teach about the brain mechanisms of dance in a fun, engaging manner so that everyone can access and get the maximum benefits from dancing. Oftentimes, the focus in dance science and dance education is turned to the body, leaving behind it's connection to the mind and brain. Understanding the brain mechanisms in dance can improve performance, make classes more inclusive, prevent injury and optimize both learning and teaching. In the workshops I provide the theory in a dynamic fashion, always applying it to practice promoting embodied cognition and equipping dancers with easy-to-apply techniques. In a fast-paced world where we are often disconnected from ourselves, my focus is to use the body as a tool of learning and give the what and the how in a practical and interesting way. Part of the workshops is dedicated to initiating conversation and exchange insights. Experiencing and sharing experiences leads to greater knowledge that includes subjective and objective aspects of knowing. My approach is based on scientific evidence-based knowledge, my background in dance (performing, teaching), coaching, and mental health experience. By being embedded in academia and being an active student, I keep up-to-date with the most recent information in a constantly changing neuroscientific field. From this project, I have developed my own evidence-based method called Dance Integrated Healing which enhances all the healing properties of dance.
