It is incredibly important to Yogi Explorers founder, Becky, that students feel
engaged and enjoy a yoga class – a happy and safe learning environment is one
from which children will gain the most. Our children’s and family yoga classes
include group and partner work, games, laughter and relaxation. Using a range of
approaches to combine mindful movement of the body and focus on the breath
working towards a calmer sense of self. We explore yoga and mindfulness through
a variety of interesting age-appropriate topics and within schools frequently
link our lessons to the curriculum. There are many other physical, social and
emotional benefits for children to gain from practising yoga both now and
throughout their lives. Just a few include: improving strength and flexibility,
building self-confidence and concentration, encouraging cooperation, finding
inner peace, increasing emotional resilience and having FUN!
