We are academic partner of University of East London (UEL). Many of our courses are validated by UEL from our Masters Degree programmes to our 12 days practical skills trainings. Most importantly we are a not-for profit organisation dedicated to changing people’s lives. The courses offered at The Institute are unique. They include two Masters Degree courses, several Diploma courses, a Postgraduate Certificate in The Therapeutic Arts and Certificate courses. Our MA in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy is the only art therapy course in the country to qualify you to work in the NHS as an art therapist (HCPC) and as an arts psychotherapist with UKCP. We pride ourselves in offering courses, which are at the cutting edge of the integration of art and science. The latest neuroscientific research in emotional behaviour, child development and human interaction underpins our syllabi. We have a teaching faculty of 70 highly experienced staff. Many are leading authors, and clinicians in their field including Senior Psychotherapists, Clinical and Educational Psychologists, Psychiatrists and expert Academics. Furthermore, in association with the Centre for Child Mental Health, first-class international clinicians, researchers and pioneers in the field of child and adult mental health contribute to our trainings. By having so many eminent trainers, our aim is to inspire our students. A great number of our graduates go on to achieve amazing things, bringing about social change all over the world and impacting on people’s lives in deeply moving ways.

Safe for All was formed by Anita August who has worked with disadvantaged groups in East London, both as a trainer and manager of a community project for over 13 years. Anita became aware of the significant impact that accredited training in First Aid and Health and Safety had on the employability and life skills of disadvantaged groups. Over the past four years (2006-2010) our senior trainers have been working in partnership with the College of North East London to deliver Health and Safety training to Haringey employees at all levels who are involved in delivering and managing front line services in Adult Social Care, including managers and employees of residential projects for adults with dementia, severe learning difficulties and mental health problems. The training has been extended to also deliver to services delivering childcare facilities including, nurseries, schools and childminders. Safe for All also specialises in delivering training to the Hospitality and Leisure Industries, Schools and Nurseries, Voluntary and Community Organisations, Social Enterprises and is expanding in to the Construction industry and Corporate Sector. Safe for All only uses qualified instructors who have a wealth of experience and knowledge gained from working in an operational Health and Safety and First Aid background, for example, Nurses, Lifeguards, Environmental Health Officers, Health & Safety Representatives and the Emergency Services. All associates have to demonstrate their competence through rigorous assessment of their training. All training associates are CRB checked. Safe for All’s Directors are professionals with extensive experience of managing private, public and third sector organisations and empowering disadvantaged people and communities in London. The Directors and training associates are committed to creating a more inclusive society and enabling everyone to access First Aid and Health and Safety training regardless of circumstance. Anita also identified a lack of affordable training provision and training resources for people with disabilities. Community groups she worked with encouraged her to make her services as widely available as possible. Hence Safe for All was born. Safe for All was formed with a vision to increase the availability of such training and is 50 per cent governed by people with disabilities.

About us Apprenticeships and Training Services Consortium Ltd (ATSCL) is a private limited company set up in December 2010 by two existing quality driven independent training providers North London Garages GTA Ltd (NLGGTA) and Tempdent Dental Agency Ltd. ATSCL was awarded a Skills Funding Agency contract in August 2011, with the aim of delivering highly successful apprenticeships and traineeships; developing provision within the flexibilities of the single adult budget in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, Dental Nursing, English, math, ICT, Customer Service, Business Administration, Team Leading and Management. ATSCL comprises of two company directors and increased their ESFA contract value significantly in the last four years whilst maintaining achievement rates 22.9% above the national average. ATSCL received an OFSTED inspection in February 2018 achieving Grade 2 overall, with Grade 1 for Effectiveness of Leadership and Management. We are a non-selective, comprehensive twelve form entry school with a proud tradition of academic and sporting success. The school is very popular in the local community for both Year 7 and sixth form admissions and is heavily oversubscribed. Barking Abbey School was founded in 1922 as one of the first co-educational grammar schools in England at the site in Longbridge Road. At the time, it was situated in a largely rural area, with fields and farmland close by. Gradually, as Barking began to expand as a residential centre, the school became the focal point for the community with an educational provision of national standing. In 1970, Barking Abbey Grammar School was merged with Park Modern School to form the Barking Abbey School we know today. Many traditions of the old schools remain, but with important developments to enable the school and its pupils to be fully prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities of life in the twenty-first century. One thing remains central, however: we are an outstanding success. Barking Abbey school has a very large Sixth Form with approximately 450 students. As a result of this we are able to offer a large range of courses to our 16-19 year olds.
