Soft skills are really HUMAN skills I have a wealth of experience in the financial services sector – built up largely through working with the Chartered Insurance Institute since 2012, Allianz since 2016 and NIG since 2015. As well as working with accountancy and pension firms, I have spoken at a number of HSBC conferences on building effective relationships. My background is in psychology and marketing so I have an insight into what makes us tick and how listening and language can effect change. Prior to specialising in the finance sector, I coached employees within Coca Cola, the Royal Mail and taught within institutions such Bristol and Bath University – where I helped PhD students to articulate the value of their complex research to prospective buyers. And before that, I worked in marketing where I won awards for my work in public relations and ability to communicate stories. At times, I work with a range of associates to ensure that the material is robust and at the forefront of new thinking and research.

Ingrid Lacey founded Face to Face in 1987 and brings over twenty years of experience in coaching communication skills. She was one of the first actresses to bring actor based training to the corporate world. Over the years she has worked with individuals and groups throughout the private and public sector at all levels. Together with Sally Edwards she is co-creator of the method Face to Face use in their workshops. Ingrid graduated from The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has worked as an actress in TV, film and theatre. She is best known from the award winning TV comedy Drop The Dead Donkey. She has worked for The Royal Court Theatre and the West End. Ingrid is a regular voice over artist. Sally Edwards Sally Edwards has been coaching in communication skills with Face to Face for over five years where she has put her considerable experience as a performer to excellent use in designing and delivering dynamic and creative workshops. Previously, she worked as a training consultant with other actor based companies and as an independent voice coach. Sally graduated from The Central School of Speech & Drama as a qualified Teacher and Voice Specialist. She has worked for many years as an actress in theatre, television and film. She has worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company and The Royal National Theatre amongst many others. She was a regular in London Bridge on ITV.

WELCOME TO THE CLIMBING ACADEMY Our passion for climbing has inspired us to develop climbing walls that enable anyone and everyone to access the sport and develop the next generation of climbers. The Climbing Academy started in Bristol in 2008 when The Mothership opened. We delivered on our vision to build a bouldering wall that would appeal to as many people as possible, giving them the opportunity to take part in what we think is the best sport in the world. Soon after, we opened The Newsroom in Glasgow – based in an old newspaper printing works – bringing the city its first dedicated bouldering centre. In more recent years we took over Undercover Rock AKA The Church, Bristol’s original roped wall in St Werburghs. In late Autumn 2018, we opened a brand new climbing centre in Glasgow. The Prop Store came to life in an old BBC prop store and offers both bouldering and roped climbing. All of our climbing walls offer the very best in climbing facilities and courses, designed for climbers of all abilities. Our staff are always on-hand to offer advice to help you get the very best out of your experience climbing. I empower women by teaching them yogic techniques that they can then share with others. I listen to and guide women and help them find their purpose in life. I lead women to connect to themselves and others on a conscious level, promoting self love and self acceptance. I support and build community through women’s circles with emphasis on ritual and ceremony to life. My offerings are both online and in-person and include yoga teacher training, yoga classes, mentoring and life coaching. I am a registered Yoga Alliance and Yoga Detour Instructor I am from Halifax, UK and live at Yoga Beach House in France where I host my retreats, trainings and workshops with business partner, best friend and husband James (who is also a yoga teacher, relationship coach and retreat chef). Aerial PerformerHello, and welcome to my site! I am a multidisciplinary aerial acrobat and circus performer. My journey to becoming a professional aerial performer and teacher started after moving to the UK from Spain, where I grew up. It was not until I saw a breathtaking aerial show in 2004 that I knew I wanted to become an aerialist. Shortly after realising I wanted to pursue a career in circus, I joined a 2 year professional full time course in aerial acrobatics in Bristol, specialising in silks, corde lisse and aerial hoop. Straight out of circus school I landed my first ever performing job, a year contract with a traditional circus company in North India, that was both challenging and fascinating. I have never looked back. In 2012 I went back to India to work at Kingdom of Dreams, the first large scale live entertainment theatre in India. The Bollywood style musical shows at KOD feature a fully automated flying system covering an area of 30m x 20m and almost 20 meters above the heads of the audience. I worked there for several months as head of aerial with the dancers involved in the aerial scenes, mainly hanger type harness and silks. The shows at Kingdom of Dreams feature a lot of heavy props flown across the auditorium in conjunction with the performers. Another big circus production I have been part of is Circus Rocks by the Generating Company, a UK touring show around seaside holiday resorts where I performed rope and was part of the aerial and dance ensembles.

Our adult’s karate is a freestyle karate built on traditional basics from Kyokushin where we guide you through the traditional aspects of Karate such as traditional katas (featuring katas such as Saifa, Bassai Dai & Garyu) as well as bunkai (the self-defence practical aspect of the kata used to protect you outside of the dojo).
