What we do: At Safespaces, we work with families and healthcare professionals to design and supply safe rooms, and high-sided beds for individuals with complex needs. These products are used in family homes, schools, hospitals and for travel. Our equipment is designed for adults and children who may be unsafe in an ordinary room or bed. We supply products for people with complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy and challenging behaviours. What difference do our products make to the people using them and their families? Since 2001 families & professionals have told us that our products: • enable children and adults to stay at home when this doesn’t seem possible • allow the user and their family to sleep, often for the first time in years • assist individuals to manage their own behaviours or reduce medication • provide a cosy therapy and sensory space • allow families to go on holiday with a familiar safe bed • in hospitals our high sided beds enable people with complex needs to access medical treatment in a safe environment • can provide a temporary bed for respite care

We are a small family firm but with our network of Pharmacists we can deliver training nationally. Our Managing Director has over 20 years experience in the care home industry and it is a business that she loves. She has become quite an "anorak" when it comes to training! We have three goals and those are to provide: Excellent quality training that is delivered well with fabulous customer service! As we all know the key to good quality care is good quality training! All our courses are updated in line with the CQC Fundamental Standards and Skills for Care knowledge sets. Clare and Lucia have worked together for over 25 years. They met in 2001, working at The Royal Brompton Hospital and are still both registered nurses. They created Red Kite Consultancy in 2021, where their focus is a shared enthusiasm for BLS & AED training. They are both trained instructors and the courses they provide are CPD certified. They train healthcare professionals and the public and believe that everyone should have the skills to perform effective Basic Life Support and the confidence to use an AED.  The course they designed in line with the Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines includes; * Managing an emergency * Assessment of an unconscious casualty * Basic Life Support (BLS) * AED Training * Post Resuscitation Care Course duration: 2 hours (dependant on group size and any requested additional course content).
